Gym is Open (Weekend)
I'm having a much more mellow weekend than expected because of this *&%$ weather. The storm in the mountains stopped me from snowshoeing yesterday, so I figured I would go for a hike close to town. I got out of the car and was practically blown across the parking lot it was so windy! So, I instead opted to do my usual workout - 10 minutes of walking warmup, 30 minutes of weights and 35 minutes of the killer sprints. Man, those sprints really work me over.
Today I plan on doing a long run - at least 4 miles. I might try to go longer if I feel up to it, we'll see how the legs feel.
I can't believe I am going to say this, but I'm ready for school to start. I enjoy a break for a while but I do better with a busy schedule. My study partner and I are going to start meeting weekly to review everything and make sure we are ready for the next round - I'm really looking forward to using my brain again

I got home late last night and wasn't able to post my exercise.
I did 30 minutes on the inline machine, 15 minutes on the treadmill, 9 of those at a 9% incline, and a boatload of weight machines. All in all, I got in about 75 minutes of exercise total.
I'm not planning any formal exercise today, we're going up to Boulder. I will do some walking, and when I come home, I may take a quick walk up our hill to get in some cardio.
The wind certainly was something! It was almost howling on my side of town -- we ran a bunch of errands yesterday and a couple of times the wind nearly blew me out of the car as I opened the door. When it's quite windy, our garage door makes a noise that sounds like a cow giving birth.
I mentioned earlier that I wasn't going to go back to school, but Red Rocks has a monthly tuition plan, so I have no valid excuse (I was telling myself I couldn't afford the $450 for my class). How can I not go when it only costs $80/month? My class doesn't start until the 21st, though. I am looking forward to learning more about Emergency Management and Planning.

Woohoo, way to go! That's very impressive hon, keep it up! And have fun in Boulder - you deserve it. It is so beautiful today that I imagine Boulder would be a great place to walk around.
I did my 4 miles but that was it, and I barely did 4. The last 1/2 mile was killer and I seriously wanted to quit, but I kept giving myself little goals to try and get myself to the end. My whole body felt whipped and beaten the entire time. After that I walked around our park and just enjoyed the sun - it felt so good and helped my legs recover from their jello feeling. And those stretches felt soooo good too - if stretches burned as many calories as running I could easily do an hour of them!
