Shopping Trip

I went to Coldwater Creek (my new favorite store) the other night to do some shopping.  I had a blouse that I needed to return, and I had a gift card from my daughter.  I found some really nice things and since I've had to attend 3 business dinners in the past 2 weeks with John's new job, I really needed some nice blouses/slacks.  So, I began trying on slacks, and started with the size 14 that I had been wearing.  Those slacks were ALL too big, so I went down to size 12.  Most of the 12's fit great, but one pair was STILL too big, so I bought my first pair of size 10 pants EVER!  I cannot EVER remember being in a size 12!  The blouses I bought were a med. and they fit great.  I also went to a lingerine store and bought a RED silk nighty that looks like a gown that Ginger from Gilligan's Island wore.  That was a large, and it is a bit big!  Shopping has become FUN!  I always hated shopping because NOTHING ever fit, and now I can wear just about anything I try on!  What FUN.   I also bought for the first time in YEARS AND YEARS 2 pair of HIGH HEELS!  They fit and are actually comfy on my feet.  I have had no problems wearing them when in the past, my feet, ankles and legs would ache and I could not wear them for more than 15 - 20 minutes.  I'm looking forward to wearing some of my new clothes on the trip I'm taking with my mom next week.  I've always hated dressing up, but now, my attitude is very different.

ooh red silk nighty and high heels - your husband is going to be a happy man!  I can't wait to enjoy shopping and have a lot of choices - although it will be weird for sure!  Congrats on the size 10 pants, that's awesome!

We have a Coldwater Creek store around here, I should pop in there and see if they have anything for me.  I'm still in plus sizes, darn it.  I'd love to be able to get into misses sizes, but I will probably have to lose those 40 lbs and get my skin lopped off first. How high are the heels on those shoes?   It's fun to dress up when it isn't a project finding stuff to fit, and you know you look terrific in it! Kix

Boy that is really great. I with Jenn your husband is going to be a happy guy. I love looking at the Coldwater Creek catalogue and always promised myself that I would shop there one day. Thanks to my wls it might just happen!!

Shopping is fun now, isn't it?! When I got into 10's was one of the best days of my life - it was so exciting! Congrats on the great trip and just wait, you'll have even more fun shopping as you lose more. I know I am addicted!
