Gym is Open (Thursday 1/3)
I went to the rec center today -- not my usual rec center, it's the one with the warm water pool. I happened to be on that end of town and the parking lot looked relatively empty.
I did 20 minutes on the inline skating machine (the machine was wonky and rocked back and forth while I skated -- it felt like I was skating on the deck of the Titanic). I did 15 minutes on the treadmill, 6 of those minutes at a 7% incline. I also did a bunch of the weight machines, but I won't list them all here.
I was there a little over an hour, and while I'm sore, I didn't resent it as much as I did yesterday. I had to really focus on my music in order to get past the "I don't wanna exercise today" head game.

PS: Does anyone have a ballpark figure as to how many calories we burn doing the weight machines? I don't trust Calorie King's listing.
Kellie, I've been thinking about investing in a heart rate monitor. Do you have a recommendation?
Do you like the one you currently use? Is it a wrist monitor?
Calorie King really exaggerates. I jot down the calories that the treadmill and inline machine say I burned, then input them into Calorie King, but it looks like I barely exercise because I have to cut the times down significantly to match up with CK's calorie count. ARGH!
