Guess what happened to me today?
How cool is this???? I made it to Twoderville before New Year's Eve despite my stall earlier this month. What a way to start the day! I tried to load the picture of the scale, but couldn't get it to work. It's on my profile.
To make it even better, I RAN from the parking lot into my chiropractor's office because I was late. Yup, this woman who could barely walk in September actually ran today. What's up with that?

Wow congratulations!
I am so super stalled its not even funny. *sigh*
I caught myself running the other day too - to the bathroom - but I actually ran. I got there and was like "whoa, what the hell?"
Congratulations again (and ahem, told you so!)

Thanks, Jenn. I'm sorry you're stalling again. It's so brutal emotionally. I was glad I was at least painfully bloated during mine, but there was still a bit of concern about what was going on. I think I may have figured out now that any "gassy" vegetable, while not giving me gas that I can feel, is making me bloat with water that I can feel in my hands and feet. That seems to add a pound and will make my weight hold still as long as I eat more of that veggy daily. It will take a couple days of not eating it to get the water to come off. It's like what used to happen if I ate crackers or chips. I don't understand this because the carbs that do this can't be higher on the glycemic index than others that don't bother me. But I'll have to check.
Anyway, you were right, and I used your reassurance to keep me thinking positively. So, right back at you, girl!!!!!!!!

Hi, Jen - just a little 'atta girl for you - sorry about the stall, but girl it just happens. Losing so much weight so quickly is really confusing for our bodies and several times during your journey, your body is just going to say "time out." I know the day-to-day can be super-frustrating when you're in a stall, but try to focus on the long-term. If you're weighing yourself every day, you may want to stop and just weigh once a week or even every other week. Especially if seeing the same number on the scale every day ruins your day. As long as you are following your recommended food plan, you will continue to lose, trust me.
A big {{{{{hug}}}}} to you and wishes that your stall ends soon!!!!!

Thanks Kellie!
I am doing ok with this stall, its not really bothering me. The first one did, especially since it lasted basically all of month 2 and I didn't understand how I could possibly NOT be losing weight considering how littlle I was eating (I was back on liquids after surgery 2 for 2 weeks, and then softies for 2 and that whole time, not a pound).
This time I know what it means, I know its just going to happen. Its frustrating for sure, but I'm taking it ok. Thank you for your message and encouragement. I hope all is well in Kellie land :)
Jenn
that's such excellent news! yay you!
i just started the pre-op liquid diet (lap band 1/15/08). my first sip scared me because it tasted so bad. then i blended it with ice cubes and some crystal light raspberry. ok, i can do this.
i wouldn't be worried, but the doc had me sign a contract to lose 20 lbs before surgery. since we just had christmas that was pretty tasty, i decided to start a few days early. :-)
again, yay you!

Its ok, it seems to be picking up again. I was stuck at 330 for two weeks, but I was 325 this morning so I guess my body is ready for more. It's also completely hormone-dependent for me, that is abundantly clear. The first two weeks of each month are slooow or this month not at all, and then the other two weeks are like 5 lbs each. Whatever. Today I'm just trying to stay out of the cookies.
