LBL over!
greetings kix!
the LBL is when they do the TT, and also go all the way around so they pull up your butt and remove the extra stuff in the lower back area. it also helps pull up the outside of the thighs. and because i had so much skin up higher than my waist, i had a vertical incision that extends almost to between my boobs, too. between an abdominal surgery from 25+ years ago and my open rny (whose wound opened and didn't close for several weeks), i had this huge scar running up my middle that was nearly an inch wide at the top. and then a lot of loose, bunchy skin on each side of that scar. the new vertical cut took all that out.
i've got quite a lot of swelling going on today, but i am still amazed -- AMAZED -- by the difference! when i'm sitting and look down, i see my private region! i don't recall ever having this view! and my butt is totally repositioned too!
this is probably TMI, but i'm so excited by this stuff...phew, it's just amazing!

Good for you, Deb - I hope your recovery goes super-smooth. Glad you are feeling well, and that you are happy with the results so far. Don't overdo it - from what I've read recovery from plastic surgery is quite a journey in and of itself. So take it easy and give your body time to heal!!!
Congrats -
Kellie
Congrats on your surgery...I hope all goes well, and I am anxious to here all about your recovery and the results. In the new year I plan on doing some research for myself. I have on issue, my husband is dead set against it. He is afraid of me having another surgery. I meanhe is sweet, but he just doesn't understand what it would mean to me. Hopefully he will change his mind, and with sucess stories like yours and Marge's he will. Take it easy and rest. Lynn
thanks lynn. good luck with changing your husband's mind. i really wanted to do this. even though people were commenting that i looked good and called me "skinny" and stuff like that -- and i knew i'd lost lots of pounds, all that skin hanging all over me made me feel like nothing was really changed. i'm thinking it will all be more "real" to me without the skin.
