AARGH, another storm is preparing to hit Denver.  My side of town is expecting 5-10 inches of snow.  I'll get exercise shoveling snow (which I actually enjoy until my fingers go numb), and I'll give "Walk Away the Pounds" another go since I suspect the roads will be too dicey to drive anywhere.  I think the high temp is supposed to be in the 20s.  BRR. What did you do to move your body today? Kix

Good Morning Kix! As usual, I participated in my favorite form of early morning torture... LOL 5 mins elliptical 50 mins upper body weight training 5 mins elliptical Actually I don't really mind working out, sometimes I even miss it over a long weekend or something, but the best part is always when it's done, I think it's a combination of the endorphin high and the emotional I DID IT that makes it so sweet... LOL

Karen, I feel the same way.  I like exercising, and I miss it when I'm not active, but the biggest rush for me is when the exercise is OVAH! Kix

Well we went to the gym to sign up - all the account people were in a meeting.  We are going back later and also getting a tour.  I don't know whether we will work out there today.  We also went to the eye doctor - I have keratoconus so I have to get a new prescription for hard contacts every few months as my eyes change.  Its a pain, and pricey.  My husband decided to try contacts too, so somehow we spent $300 and came home with nothing.  We both have to wait for our stuff to come in.  I have not exercised yet, but I will be cleaning all afternoon and MAYBE doing something at the gym.

I shoveled six inches of snow off the driveway, sidewalks, and front walk.  I opted not to go anywhere when I saw the UPS truck get stuck halfway up our hill. I'm not in the mood to do the exercise DVD, so I guess shoveling snow will be the extent of my workout today.  Kix

Well, at least I now know where all the snow landed from when I was singing "Let It Snow"....  Lucky you I'm heading to the gym now for cardio.  Think I'll do intervals on the elliptical trainer.  I hate actually doing intervals because they kick my butt, but I like the idea of doing them because it's a shorter workout (I can only do about 40 minutes total when I do intervals, including a 5-7 minute warm-up and a 5 minute cool-down).  So it's a blessing and a curse -- hard workout, shorter period of time.   Good luck staying warm!  I'll try to direct the snow elsewhere the next time I belt out Let it Snow, Let it Snow, Let it Snow - Kellie

Kellie, it sounds like this storm might be headed your way, so be careful how loud or how often you sing that @&$* song! Kix

Tonight was Pilates class and it was a little easier than last week. However, I found out that this night class is not on the schedule for next year so it looks like no more pilates for me since all the others are while I'm at work. At least I took away a couple of moves to help me strengthen my gluts. I also did 25 minutes of interval training before the class as a warm up. The storm was a pain this morning - it took me 1 1/2 hours to get to work, it was just a crawl. I'm already missing summer

I fall asleep with the radio on (usually on KOA, I like Rick Barber's overnight show) and when I woke up and heard the traffic report, I figured my sibling was working from home today.  The downstairs TV was blaring, too, so imagine my surprise when I looked in the garage and saw she actually went to work (she works downtown at 17th and Curtis).  I called her and she said it took her 1.5 hours (leaving the house at 5:30 AM) to get to work, but she said everyone on 6th Avenue was on their best behavior, so no accidents and only two minor sliding episodes.  I think she's glad she bought her hybrid SUV! I miss summer.  Heck, I even miss fall!  I hate staying at home and not being able to do all my exercise.  I did shovel the driveway twice (we had two more inches of snow fall out of the sky suddenly around 5 PM), but I'd much rather go to the rec center.  I'm impressed you can do Pilates.  The "Walk Away the Pounds" DVD kicks my butt and it's not even as difficult as Pilates.
