Julie, the burrito looked so good, I was dying to try it.  I'm not yet brave enough to eat a smothered burrito since I have no idea how much sugar is in the sauce.  I dumped on KC Masterpiece Low Carb BBQ the other day (of course, I used an entire bottle to marinate the chicken, d'oh!).  It's only low carb if you use a TBSP of it, not the whole bottle!  Sorry to hear about the lack of Silver Sneakers.  I think it should be a covered benefit everywhere.  After all, isn't it in Medicare's interest to keep us as healthy as possible?  I'm very lucky that Kaiser offers it in CO as part of their Medicare program -- they don't in CA. I haven't taken a state exam in so long, I'm not sure what to expect.  Half of the exam is "Interpersonal Skills."    I suspect it will be role playing to see whether or not I play well with others.  CDC uses role plays a lot in interviews and in training, so I'm pretty adept at it.  I just feel like an idiot while I'm doing it.   Kix

Jeanine, my dad used to live in Canton (St. Lawrence County) and he would get some nasty winter weather.  I never figured out why he moved up there, except that he's originally from Denmark and maybe all the years we lived in CA made him homesick for cold, evil weather.     I visited him up there a few times, including one visit where I flew into Newark, rented a car, drove up through Western NY State to Canton, visited him for a few days, and then drove down eastern NY State to NYC.  My other visits, it was easier to fly into Ottawa and drive the two hours to Canton.  Upstate NY is beautiful, and I'd lived there except that when I was with CDC, the only CDC jobs were in NYC (too expensive) and Albany (ptui!). I shouldn't confess this, but the taco salad was more taco than salad, although there was lettuce in it.  Lots of chicken, refried beans, guacemole, salsa, black olives, and a dollop of sour cream (which I'm not as fond of as I used to be).  The way they do the shell is interesting in that it isn't greasy, so depending on how hungry I am after I eat up the innards, I can eat some of the shell, too, without getting ill. Thanks for the good words on the state exam.  I have no idea how it works, I expect they'll tell me on Friday.  CO has kind of a byzantine way of testing and hiring that I'm still trying to figure out. Kix

Hi Marge, Glad you had a great weekend.  Ours involved watching a lot of movies at the theater and at home.  We had a nice date Fri night - went to the movies and then to dinner at Mimi's Cafe.  And then Sat husband had his last final exam and then had to work late to make up the time.  By the time he got home I said he could have whatever he wanted for dinner - that was Thai.  So we had dinner out two nights in a row.  Wow, that never happens!  The fun part was I sat in a booth both times hehe.  The not so fun part was that I dumped from some mango at the Thai restaurant.  Oy.  Good luck on the ablation.  I'm sure it will make your life a lot easier and help keep your iron up too.  I had good weight loss for the week, as usual on this particular week of the month.  I am 3 lbs from the 320s.. that's pretty exciting for me.  I can't pinpoint the last time I was in the 320s because I stopped weighing myself when I went away to college.  Once I hit 300 I just didn't want to know anymore.  Here's the damage: Highest weight 445
Consultation weight 440
Surgery weight 405
Last week : 337.4
This morning: 332.8 (-4.6lbs) Have a great week!
