MONDAY WEIGH IN!
Karma....What would life be without it? 250lbs gone! 410/160... Life's sweet!

Beginning weight - 396
Surgery weight - 386
Last week - 193.9
Today - 196.7
Honestly don't know exactly what's going on with the scale, unless I'm retaining fluids. I was down to 190.5 on Saturday morning, then up to 193.5 Sunday and 196.7 today. So I know it's not a true gain, but frustrating to see those numbers on the scale nonetheless. Haven't really changed anything about what I'm doing, so hope that it's just fluid retention that'll go away in a day or so. Anyway, that's my story!

hi all: can't weigh in, peeps, still got the cast on my leg. sounds as though you had a great weekend, marge. and it also sounds as though you looked marvelous. regarding the ablation, i had a very good friend go through it and was totally happy with the results. you'll be in my thoughts and prayers, sweetie. took another fall today. that's two falls in two weeks. i am so lucky, and thanking God, that i haven't broken anything or been seriously hurt. my weekend was good. sent out hubby and daughter number two to do as much christmas shopping as possible. so the tree doesn't look quite so bare now. shopping's not done, but it's alot closer to being done. starting weight 454 last known weight 267 hugs, dorthe

Marge, my sister had endometrial ablation done a few years ago because she was, as they say, bleeding like a stuck pig. She came through without any problems, and said her only regret is that she didn't have it done sooner. She had wanted a hysterectomy, but the doctor insisted on trying the ablation first. You don't want to have a hysterectomy unless you absolutely need it.
Of course, once you have the ablation done, no more Auntie Flo! She can't cause you grief if she can't grow a lining!
My weekend was spent shoveling snow and glaring at the nasty roads willing them to thaw so I could go outside. My snow driving skills aren't that great, and I need new tires, so I wasn't feeling very brave about driving on slick roads, especially since we live on a mountain. Times like this I envy people who live on level roads.
My sister and I did venture out yesterday in her SUV to see "American Gangster" (excellent movie) and have Mexican food. She had a crab and shrimp burrito that looked so tasty! I went with my old favorite, chicken taco salad.
I have a full week ahead. One event that has me worried is my state exam all morning on Friday. It's for a Workers Compensation gig with the state. If I score well on the exam, then I get an interview. Oy!
The scale was kinder to me this week. Even so, I need to monitor my eating a bit to be sure I'm getting in my protein first, and my water.
