Two year anniversary

Can it possibly be two years?  I was looking at some photos yesterday.  They were taken the summer before my surgery.  Although I knew it was me in the photos, I had this strange feeling that I didn't recognize that person.  That's a real change.  I guess I finally am seeing me as I am today. That person in the photos stopped at the mailbox to pull out the mail as she drove into the driveway, wouldn't go shopping if it involved more than one store, was too exhausted to do anything after work, avoided stairs at all cost (including going into the basement or making more than one trip daily upstairs). Two hundred and sixty three pounds later...WOW!

Isn't it strange seems our own body image in our minds takes a while to catch up. Sometimes I'll get a glance of myself and for a few seconds it doesn't reg thats me !!!! Its a great feeling though !!
