I have it, started about 7 months post op. It really threw me the first few months, i had the hardest time keeping myself regulated. I would try to wait as long as I could to eat and then I would be so bad that I had to eat more than I usually did just to get my sugar back up. Now I eat every 2-3 hours of mostly small meals, no matter if I am hungry or not. Most of the time it works, but there are times when I have to eat even sooner than that. I keep food with me wherever I go and since I don't dump on sugar, I keep candy with me at all times. I have found that while it doesn't last very long, it at least raises my sugar fairly quickly and allows me time to find some food. It's taken me 7 months to get on a good schedule that works, but I still have to work hard at it. On really busy days I have a tendency to lose track of time and have a big crash and it takes me days to get back on track. I don't let that happen very often because I hate that feeling. I have talked to quite a few people who are experiencing this, seems to be pretty common. I don't have everything figured out but if you have any questions, please feel free to contact me. Pam

I fight this "battle" myself.  Mostly I have found that I just have to eat. If I eat spread out through the day then I never have issues but I struggle if I have a busy "out of the house" day and have to take some kind of candy with me. I do not dump on candy so I am lucky that I can take one or two and be just fine enough to get to food to balance myself out. I am not sure there is a great secret to it other then just that eat spread out through the day and don't go to long with out something in your tummy. As annoying as it can be at time I will take this as a "side effect" over being the way I was any  day =0) Good luck to you!! mdp-wittlebits-winter2-felicia.gif picture by Felicia647200
