Gym is Open (Tuesday 11/13)
The pool at my rec center was closed for a month so it could be repaired. It reopened yesterday and there were several signs posted that said the pool temperature was 78 degrees. BRR! That pool is freezing when they say the temperature is 82, I can't imagine swimming in 78 degree water. I'm surprised I didn't hear people yodeling from the cold. I haven't been to water aerobics in a few weeks since my sister has been working odd hours. I miss it. Kix
I had a hectic day today. I was up until 3 AM finishing my resume and application (stupid Word kept not saving my corrections, I felt like Sisyphus pushing that damn boulder uphill), so I ended up sleeping until 9 AM. I just had enough time to shower and get downtown to meet my sister for an early lunch and then turn in my application packet.
I had to park several blocks away from my sister's office and the office where I had to deliver the application, so I did a bunch of walking downtown. I remember when I couldn't walk at all, so I didn't even feel grouchy about not getting good parking on the street.
After leaving downtown, I went out to the mall and walked a mile, then I went over to check out Wild Oats. What a stupid store! It's more expensive than Whole Paycheck and the employees are surly. No wonder they are going out of business!
I walked about 6000 steps today. My all-time high is 6500. I'd really like to get up to 10,000 steps per day, but I'm not sure what it will take. Maybe I need to add a walk up and down my street, which is quite hilly.
I wasn't able to get to the rec center today, so no treadmill or in-line skating. It's the first thing on my list for tomorrow, though, along with weights.
