Talk about a head out of touch with a body! I just realized I am closing in on having lost 100 pounds, and I have never done that before . Even though this is not onederland, it is a significant accomplishment for me and I think I should celebrate. But I can't figure out what to do!!! So tell me, those of you who have gone before me, what did you do to celebrate? And those who are post-op and coming along with me, what are you planning? -Julie

At one hundred pounds gone, my Mom and niece took me to movies and lunch to celebrate, I had just had gallbladder surgery. At 150 pounds gone we went to Ireland!! For my 1 year surgivesary my Mom sent  flowers to work and hubby bought me a diamond pendant. Only 4 more pounds until I reach 200 gone and I'm going to shout it from the rooftops when that happens! I'm spoiled and am proud of it! Congratulations on your almost 100 pounds gone!!!  Whoo Hoo!!

Jan I think I asked you this once before, but can you double check to make sure your hubby doesn't have a twin brother for me? -Julie

I bought myself a necklace to commemorate losing 100 pounds!  I wanted a tangible reminder of my progress, and I wanted something that made me feel pretty.  So I bought a delicate necklace on a gold chain, with an Om symbol and three gems/crystals.  I wear it often and it always makes me feel good.   I'm thinking about what I'm going to do for the 200 pound mark.  I've hit that number a few times on the scale, but haven't been able to stay below it for more than a couple days.  So I've got a little time to figure out what I want, but will probably do another piece of jewelry since I've enjoyed the first piece so much -  Kellie

I WAS FEELING LIBERATED AND ALSO REBELISH LOL.....<< IS THAT EVEN A WORD? LOL... ANYWHO I WENT AND GOT ON MY RIGHT BACK SHOULDER A SMALL CHINESE SYMBOL THAT SAYS "NANA" ... SEE I CAN BE A REBEL AND HOMEMAKER LOL....I PROBABLY WILL NEVER GET ANOTHER ONE UNLESS I REALLY GET REBELISH AGAIN LOL... ONLY ONE OF MY THREE DAUGHTERS EVEN HAS TATTOOS  SO THIS WAS MAJOR...I FIGURE ANYTHING THAT YOU DECIDE WOULD BE GOOD... I'm also closing in on 100 lbs and thinking about a necklace of some sort.  Nothing too pricey since Christmas is around the corner and we just ordered a 42 inch HDTV for Christmas.  *gulp*  But I think I will look for something in the next few days.  No tattoos for me, and no point in getting clothes.  I would like something that is a keepsake because I've never lost 100 lbs before either.

Congrats on the impending milestone!  Feels terrific, doesn't it? I didn't celebrate my weight milestones, but for my one-year anniversary, my family got me an Ipod Shuffle and an ITunes card.  They know how much I love music anyway, and how I was complaining about listening to the radio while exercising.  I use the Ipod all the time, I love having my own playlist of tunes to listen to while I'm killing myself at the gym. I need to plan something fun when I reach goal (about 600 years from now ). Kix

You didn't celebrate your milestones? You had so many too, and not just weight loss numbers. I've been happy and even startled by little goals that I've hit, but Kix, you're journey has been amazing. I hope you do something really spectacular when you reach goal (which looks like it will be soon!!!) -Julie

Julie, this might sound kind of weird, but as I hit each milestone, it seemed so surreal that I didn't really think of commemorating each one with something tangible.  I should have taken pictures, but I didn't even have my act together enough to do that.  Maybe it's because part of me doesn't want to remember how fat I was, yet the other part of me knows how important it is never to forget. What I'd like to do when I hit goal is get all this excess skin lopped off and my body parts put back where God intended them to be, but unless I win the Powerball, it sure won't happen any time soon.  In that case, I just might celebrate by taking a trip somewhere.   Kix
