Hallelujah! My plateau has shifted at last! I think adding the uphill treadmill is working wonders. I got the idea after seeing that PJ is losing hunks of weight with her hiking. I'm not ready to do an actual hike, so the treadmill is about the best I can do for now.
Sounds like everyone needs to invest in some silk longjohns. A friend of mine with rheumatoid arthritis is cold all the time and she swears by the silk long underwear. I'm cold, too, but for now, layers are working for me. Not sure how it will be when we really hit our winter, though.
We had a good weekend. We went shopping, first to a Christmas shop (my sister thought it was called Christmas Haus -- turns out it was called St. Nicks! Oy!) and bought some ornaments. I collect ornaments from every place I have visited or lived, and I didn't have one for Colorado yet. I do now. I certainly got into the Christmas mood while at the shop, and they even had Cajun Christmas music playing when we walked in the store. We also bought a new (and inexpensive, even better!) chair for the living room.
Speaking of Christmas music, one of the radio stations I listen to at night has already started their Christmas music lineup. I swear, Christmas gets earlier every year.
I was fitted for a bra over the weekend, and when the fitter told me I was a 44DD, I started laughing. My girls are empty tea bags, how could I possibly be a DD cup? Lo and behold, the bra fit like a glove. I guess all the droopy bits need more room than I thought they did.
I have a full week, and I'd better get started. I have to finish a job application for another state gig, and I'm not filing online this time, I'm hand-delivering it.
Beginning weight: 530 lb
Surgery weight: 407 lb
