Good morning!  Now that I am no longer full of s**t, I'm ready to open the gym.  I didn't exercise yesterday, I had a lot to do and I couldn't squeeze in even a walk around the lake. Today, I must do my strength training in addition to my cardio, so it will be an active day for me. What did you do to move your body today? Kix

I am not feeling so good today, or last night.  Nothing seems edible, I've tried a bunch of things, and one bite - spit it back out or back up.  I finally had some cheese and crackers last night - that and a glass of milk yesterday morning were the extent of my intake.  Crackers, bad - but at that point I was willing to settle for anything.  Its the same story this morning, I had a bite of protein bar for breakfast one bite was all I could manage - then I walked for 20 minutes (the exercise portion of this post).  I tried milk, protein bar, chicken, peanut butter.. nope, if I could make myself swallow it, it came right back up.  Of course, I just ate a handful of sunchips, bad - but they went down fine.  Everything just tastes off and like I am trying to chew cardboard.  *sigh*  I don't feel sick exactly, just off.  Tired and yucky.  I'm drinking a bunch of water to see if that helps.  Nothing hurts, and I'm not even nauseas when I throw food back up, its more like a baby spitting up.  I had only thrown up once since the second surgery.. I hope this isn't going to be something serious.  We were planning on leaving town tomorrow-monday, now I'm not sure if I should cancel.  One things for sure - if I keep eating these carbs its going to be bad news getting back off of them again.

Dunny, I had days like that when I was a fairly new post-op.  It's not that I felt sick, exactly, it's just that nothing sounded good at all.  On those days, I just ate cream of wheat with cheese in it and my high protein pudding.  Oh, and water, of course.  It passed after a day or two. As long as you can drink water to stay hydrated, I wouldn't worry unless it goes on for several days. I suggest soft foods in the meantime to see if they stay down.   Take care, and good for you, walking 20 minute when you don't feel well. Kix

Good workout! Did I hear correctly that you Michiganders have had snow already?  Folks here in CO are pining for snow, but as far as I'm concerned, it can stay 73 degrees all winter long.  Of course, I'd get pretty thirsty around February when we ran out of water because of no snow, but right now, it sounds OK to me. I actually did move my body today! I went to the rec center and did 30 minutes on the in-line skating machine, then I did 30 minutes of strength training (10-20 reps each @ either 50 or 70 lbs depending on the machine).  I then did 15 minutes on the treadmill, increasing the incline 2 degrees every minute until I was up to a 12 degree incline.  I walked the 12 degree incline for three minutes and then took the treadmill down one degree each minute or so until I was done and at a level incline, then I cranked up the speed from 1.5 to 3 for one minute, then slowed it down to 1 for a cool down.  I like the inclines, I really feel like I get a good workout. After the treadmill work, I spent 30 more minutes finishing up my strength training. No walk today, I spent more time at the rec center than I planned, so I had to get going and do my other errands.  Too bad for me, it was a glorious day. Kix
