It's already the middle of the week!  I told you it would go quickly! I have a full day ahead.  I plan to do my walking and weights today, and I need to make sure I get my day started early. Good Morning Kix! WOOOHOOO for Wednesday!  LOL I found a new torture for my inner thighs today... using the leg press point your toes as far out as comfortable and extend your legs about half way out.... then using only your inner thigh muscles extend and return again and again.... I was doing that and a really good song came on the radio and I got lost in the music for about 2 mins.... I'm thinking tomorrow I won't be able to walk.... LOL 5 min warm up on elliptical 30 mins lower body weight training 30 mins treadmill

I was pleasantly surprised to wake up and not be sore from climbing last night. I think my weight training has paid off! Today was running day - did 45 minutes of mostly jogging and some walking. I'm really beginning to enjoy this, it's so much fun to see myself progress. I've got a 5K planned for December and I think I might actually be ready for it by then. Then of course my day will include TONS of walking from the bus to the train to school and back to the train and then to work and so on . I LOVE that I can actually walk so easily from place to place!

HEY KIX,        GIRL I HAVE FOUND A NEW KIND OF ****RY EXERCISE AND THING I COULD CASH IN ON INFOMMERCIALS???? ITS PICKING UP FREAKIN PECANS... UGH ... OMG WHAT A WORKOUT... BEND AND BEND AND BEND.... TO BAD ITS NOT GONNA LAST THAT LONG THOUGH... LOL....I REFUSE TO BUY ONE OF THOSE HANDY DANDY PICKER UPPERS... FIGURE I COULD USE THE MOVEMENT.... TONY LITTLE.... WATCH OUT.... LOL... HUGS MARGE

Today I went to the park and walked - its a nice cool day so it was very pleasant and I took a different path than usual so there were new things to look at.  Mostly birds and a couple of bunny rabbits.  I ended up walking a lot farther than I've tried before - I walked 2.3 miles!  It took about 40 minutes because I was stopping to look at stuff, but I am happy to have walked that far.  My friend took her family on a 5 mile hike last week (state park) and she said the leaves were changing and suggested we go.  I told her I didn't think I could do it yet, but now I'm wondering.  Other than the bad ankles - bad bad ankles - I think I am physically ready for something like that as long as we weren't going too fast.  We may try it!  Its no mountain trail like PJ takes, but it would be nice to get out and try something new.  We'll prolly miss the color change though because we wouldn't be able to do it this weekend, it would have to be next weekend.  I am asking for a more professional style camera this Christmas - my dad is a photographer and I think I caught that gene.  I'm hoping that having a great camera will encourage me to go out hiking and such a lot more (have to get my money's worth!)- the camera we have right now takes fantastic pictures SOMETIMES.... but it seems like you take ten awful pictures for every good one, and its so slooooow - you can't capture anything in motion unless you are out in full sunlight.  With the camera I WANT, my friend got a picture of a bumblebee in midflight and its in PERFECT FOCUS!  She also caught a coyote running after something and its in complete focus also.  I am envious of her pictures and she's just starting out too - she doesn't have much photography experience, I probably have more.  I go sooo off topic on these posts.  Oops Ramble on.  Jenn

Hi Kix,  Well this morning I did the following:  35 min. elliptical  22 min bike up hill  20 min elliptical  I am really starting to like the bike it really works your hips and thighs. Well have a great day.  Sophia
