Gym is Open (Tuesday 11/6)
Grr! Just before I opened the gym, I received an email from a pal in Oakland who is retiring and wants me to attend her party. That's fine, except the party is on 11/16 and there's no way I can get a decent airfare with barely a week's notice. I'm annoyed -- she wanted me to come and yet waits until the last damn minute to invite me. It's typical of her, though. Even so, AARGH.
Enough of that. I'm opening the gym now for the earlybirds. My plans for exercise today includes weight training, a walk, and possibly some in-line skating machine.
What fun things did you do to move your body today?

I'm working from home today so no gym, but the treadmill over in the corner is calling my name.....

We got up a little early today so we could deliver the cat the the vet's (spay) and then husband could go to class and I could go to the lab as usual for T/Th. We dropped off the kitty and decided we had time for a quick breakfast (I was feeling ravenous this morning, which is unusual )
We went to IHOP (close by) and I had oatmeal and an egg. Anyway, then we decided he should skip his first class and we should go back to sleep. We went home and both completely passed out. I barely got my contacts out of my eyes and my shoes off - I slept for 4 hours fully clothed (jeans and even an underwire bra!) I can never sleep with uncomfortable clothes on... It was strange, and I just woke up about 20 minutes ago.
We even went to sleep early last night. I don't know if its the time change or if we are both just worn out or what, but it was an excellent nap. Anyway, that doesn't have anything to do with exercise, its just to explain why, at 1 pm, I have barely moved my body at all today. I am going to drink a glass of water and then do the bike for 20 minutes.
Also its my 3 month surgery anniversary, so I will probably take pictures tonight. I am closing in on 100lbs lost since pre-op consultation. Maybe I'll finally look different.
Sounds like you had a better day than the cat did!
"Falling back" never disrupts me, but "springing forward" means I spend the first few days walking into walls, etc.
It sounds to me like you guys are just tired! Glad you had such a good nap. Don't forget to post those pictures, we're all eager to see them.

Poor kitty - I was extremely sympathetic, being so fresh out of surgery. She's back home now, a little groggy but not too bad. Normally I'd laugh that they gave me a week's worth of pain medication for my cat, but this time I was thinking "poor kitty, I'm definitely keeping her dosed up!"
Hi, Kix. Was planning to do cardio at lunch, but running errands seemed like more fun. So I returned a skirt for my roommate and a pair of pants for myself. (I had picked up petites by mistake - looked pretty darn funny since I'm 5'7"!) I also bought a couple long-sleeved t-shirts and two sweaters from JCPenney. I bought all four items in a misses large and didn't even bother to try them on, but I'm pretty sure they will fit. To have gone from a plus-size 6X to a misses large is a trip...
Anyway, disembarking from the tangent train now and getting back to the subject of this post - exercise. I will go to the gym after work for cardio - probably 20-25 minutes on the rowing machine, then another 20-25 minutes on the stationary bike. I've been giving the elliptical machine a break - using the rowing machine and bike for something different. Am enjoying the variety. Have also been considering jogging/running, but I'm not sure my knees would forgive me...

Let's see, I started at a 9 or 10x and I now wear an 18-20 top and a 22-24 pant. I'd be smaller if I could get rid of some of this darn skin and bags o'sagging fat! The day I can get into a "regular" misses size, you will hear me yodeling all the way in Cleveland.
Have fun on the bike and rowing machine! Throw some swimming in there, and you're practically ready for the Ironman!
