I will never allow another cashew to pass my lips. I overindulged on the last bag of Trader Joe's raw cashews and have just spent the last ten minutes in the bathroom.  If I wasn't , it was coming out the other end.     Ugh! Sorry for the graphic description, but I wanted to make this vow right away while I still feel like hot death.   I had about a half-bag left, and they went promptly into the garbage.  Ugh. I have a problem with "overindulgence" so I only purchase single serving bags of nuts.  Peanuts give me a belly ache if i have too many but I don't actually dump.  Anyway feel better.

Jesus is so good to me;  I couldn't ask for a better friend, protector, leader, savior!

Hi Kix,

Is it not amazing how we can eat something one day and then the next we are throwing up our guts on the same item.  I stay away from Trader Joes because there are just too many temptations.

Hope that you are feeling better by now.  How is the job search coming along?

Jeanne, I'm also a TJ's addict.  I used to shop there all the time when I lived in CA.  Lucky for me, we don't have them in Colorado.  I was in Vegas recently and had to stop in and get my fix.  The hardest part for me was admiring all the frozen goods and knowing I had no way to get them home. The job hunt blows.  I've applied for two jobs and gotten the finger twice now.  Not sure if it's my age, the fact that I haven't worked in five years, or if the jobs were already promised to folks in-house and the jobs were just posted to fulfill a legal requirement.  It's also slow this time of year, so I'll be surprised if anything else promising comes up before the new year.   It doesn't help that what they consider a "good" wage in Colorado makes me wonder how people live earning so little.  A friend of mine said they were hiring a secretary at her school, and she was excited to tell me that it paid $10/hr.    I also saw a good professional gig posted at Denver Health (our public hospital system) doing Public Health training in the STD Program, and they are only offering $14/hour.  That's before taxes, too.  I make more on disability. I'm also at a disadvantage in that my extensive public health skiils are comparable to what they classify here in CO as public health nursing jobs.  I gained all these skills and knowledge because I was trained by public health nurses throughout my career, but I'm not an RN (I play one on TV, though). I'm not giving up yet, though!  Thanks for asking! Kix

Isn't it interesting how we'll still sometimes do things that we are pretty sure will lead to trouble?  Sorry for your bad cashew experience - can totally relate (had a recent experience with homemade bread pudding - details will remain between me and my bathroom...).   Kellie
