Good morning, and happy Friday to all! Let's get moving!  Today will be a walk and probably some in-line skating/treadmill work at the rec center.  It's cold in CO today, so I'll probably walk faster than usual.  I need to wait for Apria to come pick up the portable oxygen equipment (woohoo!), so I'm not sure when I'll get out today. What did you do to move your body today? Kix

I wish we had room in the house for a treadmill.  It would be nice to have a piece of equipment to work on in the evenings when I feel like a bit of exercise. Kix

Hi, Kix!  Must be a great feeling to get rid of the portable oxygen equipment; a sign of just how far you have come!   I'm going to the gym after work today for cardio.  Think I'll do 20 minutes on the rowing machine and 30 minutes on the bike.  I'm trying to shake things up a bit with my cardio routine so I don't get bored doing the same thing all the time.  Plus, I actually enjoy the rowing machine - sometimes I close my eyes and visualize being out on the water.  It's a nice little escape -  Good luck to everyone finding the time, energy, and motivation to move today! Kellie, I called Apria this morning and they said the driver would be here "after 5 PM."  Well, she must have meant 5 PM in the Atlantic Maritime Provinces, because I came home just shy of 2 PM and the Apria truck drove up not five minutes later.  Doesn't matter, the portable o2 carriers and the big tank are gone, gone, gone!  I get tested next week to see if I need the nighttime o2. Thanks for that article about weight machines!  We also have the Cybex machines, but the rec center I prefer to work at doesn't have the calf machine -- I have to remember to use it when we go to the warm water pool.  As for the rowing machine, no way with my knees.  I can't get low enough to sit on the rowing machine, although it looks like great fun and vigorous exericse. Yay Kix!  No more portable O2, that's awesome.  I don't think I'll exercise today, I'm really feeling tired.  It might be from just eating, but I can barely keep my eyes open and am headed for a nap.  Maybe later I'll feel rejuvenated and get on the bike for a while, or try some more squats.  I can't believe it, but I'm not sure today!  Have a great day! The most important thing I have learned about exercising is not to do it when you feel really worn out.  One time, I didn't pay attention to my body telling me it needed a day off, exercised, and felt sick as a dog the rest of the day.  I had to drink two packets of potassium powder before I felt normal. Besides, they tapped you of all your blood, so I think you need a few hours to build it back up. Kix

I slept for 3 hours!  I think it was the combo of the blood and fasting before the blood.  Then when I ate I was immediately sleepy.  I am not going to work out today, but maybe jumping off and on the exam table a few times counts for something

OK, I did 20 vigorous minutes on the in-line skating machine to warm me up for my walk.  I also did 40 ab crunches on the ab machine.  I wanted to do some steep incline work on the treadmill, but all the yakking I did put me behind schedule. I left the rec center and walked a mile around the lake.  It was a crisp day, but not as cold as I thought it would be.  The walk felt great!  I thought about trying to add to my mile, or do the whole mile without stopping halfway to rest for three minutes, but I decided to just stay the course.
