Marge, I lived in Tallahassee many, many years ago when I was a VD case investigator -- CDC assigned me to the Leon County Health Department, which at the time was located right next door to the Leon County Jail. The inmates' exercise yard was on the roof of the building then (not sure if it still is), and I hated coming back to the office in the afternoons because the guys would be outside and they hooted and hollered worse than construction workers!
When I lived there, the shopping was mostly Wally's and Winn-Dixie. I don't remember the Burlington Coat Factory (or maybe I just didn't pay attention to it). I don't mind Tallahassee, except for the humidity and the heat in the summer. That seems to be my theme song, doesn't it?

I have a full week ahead. We are flying to Las Vegas on Friday for the one-month memorial service for my brother-in-law. This will be my first time on an airplane in about six years, and on Southwest, no less! I'm looking forward to needing only one seat! We attend the memorial service in Vegas, then drive 2+ hours to my sister's house (how do you folks live so far away from stuff?), where we will stay for a few days and then go back to Vegas and stay overnight. I plan to have great fun, even if I'm spending too much money on all of this.
Of course, the timing sucks, as the four days we are out of town are the days the Rockies play the BoSox here in Colorado. Sigh.
I still have to finish the Project from Hell. Apparently, a hunk of my work has gone missing, so I'm going to have to reconstruct it. If any of you watch the show "Reaper," I feel like Ray Wise (the actor who plays the Devil) is standing over my shoulder, laughing his azz off!
I'm pretty happy with my loss this week. It was two pounds lower yesterday, but we went for Mexican food, which means I ate more sodium than I usually do. I also didn't go for a power walk yesterday because of the $&%* snow. I guess I'm going to have to walk in snowshoes this winter.
