And, I made the double century mark of having lost over 200 pounds! Nice way to begin the week! surgery weight: 371 Last week's weight: 176 this week's weight: 170!!!!!    6 pounds lost this week and a loss of 201 pounds total! Morning, Marge.  I'm tired just hearing about your weekend!!!!  You give a whole new definition to "you go, girl"!!!!!  I had a good weekend - breakfast with some girlfriends on Saturday morning, clambake with some folks from work on Friday, and lunch at a great new seafood joint on Sunday with my roomies.  Needless to say, I didn't have to cook at all this weekend!!!  Here's my numbers for the week: Beginning weight - 396 Surgery weight - 386 Last week - 208.4 Today - 201.5 Last Monday's number was up because of 40th birthday party knoshing, combined with fluid retention from perhaps one too many margaritas with lots of salt on the rim.  I felt like a stuffed sausage last Monday!  Thankfully, that fluid went away after a couple days so I'm back into my "normal" range of around 200 pounds.  I've been in the same range for about 3 months now, so am thinking the losing may be over.  But I'm tinkering with my daily calorie intake, so we'll see what happens.  Regardless, I'm happy about it!!!  Kellie

5 lbs again this week. I had some kind of virus on Friday and was sick most of the weekend. Coming out of both ends(TMI)So I didn't eat but just kept pumping fluids in me. I will guess that was one of the reason for another week of 5 lbs. I know they come far and few so I will take it when I get it.    BEGINNING WEIGHT-362(01/13/07 Pre-op consult) SURGERY WEIGHT-357(01/19/07-the day released from hospital) Last Week-229 THIS WEEK-224

Marge, I lived in Tallahassee many, many years ago when I was a VD case investigator -- CDC assigned me to the Leon County Health Department, which at the time was located right next door to the Leon County Jail.  The inmates' exercise yard was on the roof of the building then (not sure if it still is), and I hated coming back to the office in the afternoons because the guys would be outside and they hooted and hollered worse than construction workers!   When I lived there, the shopping was mostly Wally's and Winn-Dixie.  I don't remember the Burlington Coat Factory (or maybe I just didn't pay attention to it).  I don't mind Tallahassee, except for the humidity and the heat in the summer.  That seems to be my theme song, doesn't it?  I have a full week ahead.  We are flying to Las Vegas on Friday for the one-month memorial service for my brother-in-law.  This will be my first time on an airplane in about six years, and on Southwest, no less!  I'm looking forward to needing only one seat!  We attend the memorial service in Vegas, then drive 2+ hours to my sister's house (how do you folks live so far away from stuff?), where we will stay for a few days and then go back to Vegas and stay overnight.  I plan to have great fun, even if I'm spending too much money on all of this. Of course, the timing sucks, as the four days we are out of town are the days the Rockies play the BoSox here in Colorado.  Sigh.   I still have to finish the Project from Hell.  Apparently, a hunk of my work has gone missing, so I'm going to have to reconstruct it.  If any of you watch the show "Reaper," I feel like Ray Wise (the actor who plays the Devil) is standing over my shoulder, laughing his azz off! I'm pretty happy with my loss this week.  It was two pounds lower yesterday, but we went for Mexican food, which means I ate more sodium than I usually do.  I also didn't go for a power walk yesterday because of the $&%* snow.  I guess I'm going to have to walk in snowshoes this winter. Beginning weight: 530 lb Surgery weight: 407 Last week: 227 lb This week: 222 lbs Kix

Congrats on being back down 5 pounds, Kix!  I know you were struggling last week with a gain, and I wanted to give you a shout out and an 'atta girl for getting thing moving in the right direction!   Buy those snowshoes, girl - it's great exercise!  I've been thinking about getting snowshoes or trying cross-country skiing.  Both are supposed to be good exercise, plus it's a way to get some outdoor time in the winter!   Have a great day -  Kellie
