Good Morning All....We are starting to see a path in the floor that does NOT contain boxes..I am getting too old for this!  I told my kids...next time I move is gonna be with a suitcase and some picture frames into the nursing home! LOL Not any time soon I hope! I am still on the Medifast diet plugging away.  I got VERY hungry the other day and "cheated" by eating an apple. Here's my stats: Beginning Weight:  284 1/2 Weight at starting Medifast:  276 1/2 Weight Last Week:  268 1/2 This week:  262 I'm having a birthday on Saturday.....wwoohoooooooo  I may do some naughtiness but I am hoping my willpower prevails!!  My doctor referred me to protien supplement from www.vitalady.com  I haven't checked it out yet. Are any of you familiar with this type? Please let me know.  Thanks. Hugs to all.

I didn't get to weigh in Monday due to my trip to St. Louis, so today was my day. And since I am determined to keep myself accountable, despite doing poorly, I am posting it here. It was not easy to find food while I was in St. Louis and it really showed on the scale - I was so sick of fast food by the time I came home that I realized there is no danger of me falling into this pattern on a regular basis! (thank goodness) At least that was encouraging, the thought that the surgery has done it's job! I feel horrible and bloated since I got back, so that is another reminder the next time I go anywhere - PLAN AHEAD!!!  So, here it is: surgery weight: 371 last week's weight: 172 this week's weight: 176 4 pounds in 4 days, pretty bad. It's back to basics for me this week.

Traveling is a challenge, PJ.  I tend to eat a lot of salad w/ chicken and grilled chicken sandwiches when fast food is the only open.  Wendy's chili is also a good choice, but it gets old after a while.  I also carry protein bars with me, in case I really need to eat and don't have access to something that's good for me.   Since you are back to basics, that 4 pounds will be gone before you know it! Great suggestions, I wish I could say I would of chosen those things. But instead I went into "I'm on vacation" mode and ate anything I wanted, I mean anything. But I am now thoroughly sick of  chicken tenders (a big fav before surgery and I indulged big time!) and I do believe I will remember this lesson for years to come. Seriously, my stomach has felt like a huge, overinflated balloon for the past 3 days! The funny thing is I brought TONS of protein bars, but my sugar got all out of wack before I went, so much so that I was having to eat every 2 hours or downing any candy I could find (and yup, those included the dreaded tootsie rolls - I never liked those things before, now they are my nemesis). 2 protein bars I can usually handle, but 4 were just a bit too much. Of course my aunt, who is a closet alcoholic, had nothing but wine and hard liquor, no food at all. This women is on hospice, can barely breathe or move, and is downing the smooch like it was water. It made me appreciate the fact that my addiction is food, not alcohol. I do not want to end up like her. Good grief, I am in rambling mode today - I think I am trying to avoid work and just keep yammering away. All this to say thanks for the suggestions, next time I WILL be more careful!
