Good morning Marge!  I could definitely be (and already am) a clothes *****  I don't know how I'l react to having so many more choices in clothing and stores.  I'll probably just get overwhelmed and run out of the stores screaming "I don't KNOW what size I am, I don't KNOW what looks good on me! I can't DECIDE!!!"  My biggest problem (besides the rolls of fat) has always been my height.  I can't wait to go shopping in some of those petite stores so I don't have to hem anything.  I only learned to sew enough to hem things, but I'm tired of it! It sounds like you had a great week.  Mine was good too - I went shopping a little too, for shoes and a halloween ensemble.  It was a very good week actually, because the scale was dropping nearly a lb a day and it marked two months since I rearranged my guts!  Highest weight 445 Consultation weight 440 Surgery weight 402 Last week 369.8 This week 364.2 (-5.6 lbs bye bye stall!)

Hi Marge, sounds like you had a great time with your sister. I don't know about the bulldawgs, but I spent most of the the past week watching the Red Sox kick the LA Angels butts!!!! Very exciting stuff. Anyhow, it is very helpful hearing about your success in getting to a size 10. I am just past my one month post-op and my weight loss has suddenly taken a dive. I am trying not get discouraged, as I have read over and over about stalls and I know I am doing all the right things. It's just that this is the end of the first two weeks of no longer being on liquids, and my diet thinking of "eating makes me fat" is kicking me big time. I did just have a week of PMS symptoms, although I don't get my period, so it may be bloating, but stilllll (whine, whine). Well, here are the figures, numbers included as you told me I should do: Pre-op: 414 Surgery: 373 Last week: 341 This week: 338 Keeping my chins up, Julie
Practice safe eating - always use condiments.

Well, #*$(%&$@!    Everyone has had such wonderful success this week, and here I am to puncture a hole in the stats. A week of little exercise and eating like a teenage boy has caught up with me, and I nearly had a coronary when I climbed on the scale this morning.  Now some of it is water weight from drinking so much water late into the night while I was working, and some could be PMS-related, too, but I'm still owning up to it.  I can't blame this kind of gain on jus****er.  I'm hoping some of it is from eating more salt than usual this weekend. Regardless of what caused the gain, it is time to get serious and stop  around.   I exercised this morning and so far have only eated two cans of Stallone pudding and two Atkins bars.  I plan to have a big salad with lots of jumbo shrimp for dinner.  My caloric/protein budget has room for two more Atkins bars if I absolutely have to eat, but I'm not allowing myself to eat until I'm actually hungry.  Beginning weight: 530 Surgery weight: 407 Last week: 220 This week: 227!    Kix (hanging my head in shame)

I love your description "eating like a teenage boy..." - just gave me a good chuckle.  (My oldest nephew is playing high school football; between him and his three brothers, my sister can barely keep up with the grocery shopping!!!!!) As far as the weight gain, you've got the right attitude - get back on track with your exercise plan and stop eating when you aren't hungry!  When I hit the 220s, I stayed there for almost 2 months; it was super frustrating, but I just kept doing the right thing.  Eventually the scale moved again, and in the right direction So just climb right back on that and ride, girlfriend, ride!!! Hi Marge, Isn't shopping fun when you can get clothes that fit!?!? I've never really liked shopping until recently. Here are my numbers for the week: Surgery Referral Weight 368 Feb. 8, 2006 Kaiser Options Class Wt.  375  June 14, 2006 Consult Weight: 351 December 7, 2006 Surgery Weight - 344 Jan. 31, 07 3 weeks ago: 224 Today: 218.6 I'm just happy to see the scale MOVE again!  AND my calves are SMALLER!  I had bought some pants at Old Navy, and hadn't been able to wear them because they were so tight in my lower leg -- today they fit easily, and my calves that were 18 inches last week are 17 1/4 inches today!  The bad part is that now those pants are HUGE in the waist/butt/hip area, so I passed them on to my daughter, who is larger than me in those areas, but has tiny legs!  Go figure!
