Lord, it's early!  Or, it's late, whatever.  I finally finished the Project from Hell.  My eyes are all glazed over and I can barely see after staring at this computer monitor all weekend long.  I'm very tired of looking at, thinking about, and working on the Project from Hell, so please whisper good thoughts that I don't have to revise it yet again. And just think, I need to wake up in seven hours and go exercise!  Oh, boy!  Seriously, I need to.  I want to do some interval training before the two aqua classes.  If I don't exercise, I don't burn a single calorie, and I feel seriously obese after sitting and drinking mass quantities of water while I slaved away. What did you do to move your body today? Kix

30 mins straight on the treadmill only got it up into the low aerobic range for me..... Today I did the elliptical for 30 mins and stepped up my pace and finally got it up over 130.......

woohoo!! Congrats on finishing your project! i think this calls for a big celebration I'm taking today off - I've got a test today and I am usually up early trying to cram in all the studying I didn't do the week before - yup, I'm a procrastinator. But I will be tettering around in high heels today, walking from the train to school to the bus to the train, and so on. Does that count? (I have new shoes that I absolutely adore and just have to wear them today!)

I don't know how you are able to walk in high heels, OW!  I'd much rather wear comfy shoes and carry the high heels to wear only as long as necessary, then the comfy shoes go right back on. You are just leaving me in the dust with your outstanding weight loss!  Good on you!  I think all the walking counts as exercise, especially in high heels. Isn't today a glorious day!  Perfect for walking around campus.  I haven't lived in CO all that long, but it seems to me that the leaves' colors are more vivid this year than they usually are.  The trees in our neighborhood are turning orange and red, and in past falls, they usually just turned yellow for a day or two before they fell off the trees. This would have been a perfect day to take a drive, but I'm too tired, darn it. Kix

I'm kind of surprised that I'm wearing heels too, but I have a confession to make - I seem to be having a bit of a flirtation with a fellow in my class. He's so much younger than me (and pretty darn cute), but my oh my am I having fun .  So, I admit it, my vanity has taken over and I tend to want to look good in class.  Geesh, that makes me sound like I'm a 20 year old coed.

Well, heck, you look like a 20 year old coed, so why not feel like one?  Just don't act like one, I'm not ready for a PJ who acts like Paris Hilton!       Watch out for those Tender Vittles, now!  I read an article that younger men are more interested in older women because we are intelligent and not prone to Paris Hilton-like behavior.  That's all well and good, but I can't get past feeling like Mrs. Robinson in "The Graduate" when I meet up with younger guys.  I've always been attracted to men at least 10 years older than me, which was fine and dandy when I was a pup.  Now that I'm older, it means the guys are eligible for Social Security!  I can't win!   Kix

Hi Kix!

I'd like to say that my life was going to get back to normal, but, not quite yet!  I had a very successful concert on Friday night.  Remember the one I was sweating about breaking even on as I had my own money on the line?  Well I sold out and got an additional 20 chairs brought in for overflow!  It went great!  I made a big faux pas and gave the artist the venue's money and vice versa and no one counted their money until the next day so now I have to go get a cashier's check and fed ex it to Canada...duh!  Other than that, couldn't have been more perfect.

On this week's agenda is a very heavy work week, plus Jethro Tull Concert tomorrow night, Bill Staines Concert Wednesday night, Radiothon Fundraising on Wed, thurs, Sat, Sun!  I hope I survive all of it!

I did make it to the gym this morning and did 35 min on the track and 25 min upper body strength training.

With all this stress I figure I gotta keep my workouts going!

Jethro Tull?  I didn't know they were still touring!  The last time I saw Jethro Tull was at the Salt Palace in 1971 (or 1972).  In the 70s in SLC, there were pretty much four places to go to concerts:  the Salt Palace, the Special Events Center at the U, the Terrace Ballroom, and the Fairgrounds.  I''ll bet none of those places are even around any more!  (Kix = fossil)   Funny story about SLC concerts in the 70s -- Jim Morrison and The Doors were scheduled to play the Salt Palace (this wasn't too long before he died), and of course, the concert was an immediate sellout.  We were all jazzed about seeing The Doors.  At some concert in another part of the country, Jim Morrison got drunk and waved his naked giblets at concert goers during the gig.  Next thing we know, the Salt Palace management cancelled his SLC appearance.  AARGH!  I wasn't much interested in seeing his naked giblets, but I regret not seeing The Doors perform live. Even then, some of the bigger gigs wouldn't play SLC in those days -- my friends and I had to drive to Denver to see the Rolling Stones (McNichols Arena).  Who'd have thought then I'd actually be living in Colorado today? Glad to hear your concert was a big success, and how trusting of everyone not to count their money until the following day.  I'm trusting, but I still count the cash at the end of the day!  It's hard to stay committed to daily exercise, isn't it?  Exercise really is the key to health, and not just in terms of weight loss/weight management, either. Kix
