feet and hands, but what about stomach?

Just an observation...
I have starting wearing my wedding rings on my middle finger so they don't fall off.
I had to buy shoes in a size 7 instead of a size 8WW today. My sneakers were dangerously loose. That's 7 normal, not even wide width - and the exact same model of shoe (loyal to it because it stopped plantar fascitis pain)
My hands and feet are shrinking fast... but I still can't fit in to next size down in clothes - except underwear. I am a little flabbergasted that I have skinny hands and feet but the same old belly. It must be all the exercise I get typing and wiggling my toes.
Next maybe it will be my arms - I'll have stick arms and legs but a great big middle - I can be a pumpkin for halloween.
That's funny, because the first compliment I got after my surgery was "your hands look so petite now!" I was so bummed, since I had lost 75 pounds and thought there had to be something besides my hands that looked good!
My first 6 months I lost a lot on my upper body and I was told that happens quite a bit for those who have had surgery - you lose from the top to the bottom. I thought I would be a size small up top and a 20 in pants forever! It eventually evened out and now I have an "hourglass" figure (which I love! thank god for my mom's good genes).
Ironically, I didn't lose in my feet or bust much at all - now I've all of a sudden started losing there! My brand new, fitted bra is too big and my shoes just flop on my feet. So, the odd places we lose don't stop, it just gets weirder.
I just sprayed my monitor with iced green tea
. Jenn I am doing the same thing, and had no idea it wasn't just me. I swear I lost 30lbs from each boob, and the rest from my feet and butt. I know that I can fit in chairs I wasn't able to, and I can no longer carry small objects on my butt shelf.
One day as I was laying in bed I lifted my leg and saw my foot and was shocked to see bones!!! Yes real bones inside my foot. I had heard they existed, but I had never seen evidence before. I did notice a vein in my right hand two days ago, and something is rippling when I type, but I'm not sure what it is yet. I'll let you know.
I don't know how to explain this odd loss pattern to people who are telling me to stop wearing clothes that are now far too big. I know the shirts are two sizes too large in the bust, but they are just barely fitting or becoming a size big around the hips if I want to sit down. Same with pants. I never had big legs, so I need the waist measurement still, but the thighs look baggy.
Well, I am just letting my good nature match my clown like appearance.

The first place I lost weight was in my face, followed by my hands. I lost 123 lbs before surgery and was still wearing the same size clothes.
Post-op, when the weight started falling off in hunks again, more weight came off my face, and then the boobal area (nothing there at all anymore), followed by the buttissimo, the arms, and then the stomach. It was like I woke up one day to find that my big old belly had deflated like a used beachball.
Unlike PJ, I don't have good genes in my family. My mother was smaller boned, but we are still all hardy Scandinavian farm/fisherperson stock. No hourglass figure here! What weight I have left to lose (not counting all the flapping skin) has taken refuge in my thighs, so I have gone from an extremely large apple to a not-that-large fig.
As for my feet, I still wear either an 8 or 8.5 depending on the shoe, but I have gone from a WW to a W, and sometimes even an M (once again, depending on the shoe).
I sent the photo of me at the Cog Railway to a friend in CA, and she wrote back saying, "My gosh, you're so tiny!" Tiny? Moi? Well, not really, (I'm still in plus sizes, but at the small end of plus sizes); however, I am smaller than a circus elephant, which is what I resembled at my fattest.
Speaking of arms, you should see mine. They are thinner, with large slabs o'skin hanging off them. I look like Rocky the Flying Squirrel.

Hi Jen!
I had to resize my rings within a month of my surgery so that they wouldn't fall off. I need to have them done again! My shoe size changed width more than length. I did go from an 11WWWW to a 10W. I could go to a smaller size pant in a month or so, but each person really will lose differently. I was surprised at how much came off my butt/hips lower tummy area, my lower thigh and calf are still quite large. My calf at one time measured 24 inches, and now it is 17 3/4 -- still quite big, especially since my ankle which used to be 12 inches is now 9 1/2 inches. My thighs used to be 36 inches, and are now 23 1/2 -- they "droop" badly from the excess skin! My 70 inch hips are now 45 -- so things will all of a sudden rapidly change. The girls used to be a 50 - 52 DDD are now a 38 DDD, which require rolling up to put them in place!
At some point, you will all of a audden lose somewhere else! It will surprise you to walk past a mirror and wonder who the skinny lady is, and realize that it is YOU! Oh, and my face changed DRASTICALLY as well. I should post my before and after drivers license photos. My husband still has a hard time finding me in a crowd.
Be encouraged that it will happen!
