5 min elliptical warm up 30 mins lower body weight training 30 mins treadmill 7% incline 3.3 mph  I got a new heart rate monitor and that 30 mins on the treadmill is only pushing me into the low aerobic heart range... If I go any faster I'll be running, if I go any higher I might as well go back to the elliptical all the time....  I guess it's time to shake it up again.....

I've been thinking about getting a heart rate monitor, although I'm pretty sure I'm hitting pay dirt when I interval train because my lungs feel like they are going to explode out of my chest!  Now, wouldn't that be an interesting sight at the gym? What kind of heart rate monitor do you use, and is it a wrist model, or one of those things you have to strap to your chest? Kix

10 minute walk to warm up 10 minute stretches 20 minute recumbent bike (interval program) 10 minute arm weights I bought a Halloween costume that I don't quite fit in to - trying to remedy that by the 31st.  *crossing fingers*  It was really time to increase my workout a little anyway.

Good workout, Dunny! I didn't get to the rec center today -- this #&$%@ project has me anchored to the computer. What are you wearing for Halloween? Kix

Well, actually I couldn't find many Halloween costumes in my size, but we are going to a big party.  So I used it as an excuse to buy some new clothing - I bought an empire style black dress that I need to hem - its supposed to be a shorter dress, an inch or two above the knee but on me its mid-calf (5'1'' with shoes), and some leggings.  And if the dress doesn't fit by then, I have a back up, but its more low-cut and cleavage oriented and formal - would look stupid with leggings and then I'd have to have other shoes, so it just gets too complicated   I tried it on to make sure last night and it actually looks sooo much better on me with 80 less lbs, so its tempting.  I am going as a sexy black kitty cat.  I got patent leather ears and tail, and a patent leather pink collar that says meow.  I was going to vamp it up a bit for the hell of it.  We haven't done anything for Halloween in a few years so I am looking forward to it, even though I can't drink (or eat).  Its always been my favorite holiday.  My husband can't decide on a costume.  I wanted to sew a bunch of chickens (or glue the little yellow peeps if we could find them) on a shirt and he could be a "chick magnet"  - he almost went for it but now he is thinking a Tibetan monk.  He shaves his head already so it wouldn't be too hard.

Today was weight day for me - I was so sore from doing weights on Wednesday I considered not doing them at all. But I'm glad I did, I feel much better today. I did 10 minutes of warmup, then about 35 minutes of upper and lower body. Then, this afternoon I went for a 20 minute walk during my lunch hour. It's pretty windy here, so there was lot's of resistance in the walk - good to get the heart rate up!

Good Lord, girlfriend!  I wondered what that blur was that zoomed past my house yesterday!  I miss my exercise, I've got to get back on track.  I haven't managed my time well while working on this $*%& project, which worries me.  Once I go back to work, I'm not going to be able to saunter to the rec center mid-morning.  Time for more discipline.
