Help me locate a surgeon?

I am 5 years post-op and doing great.  My husband, however, is having trouble locating a surgeon in Virginia who will take a patient who weighs over 450 lbs.  He currently weighs about 550 and is trying to lose enough to qualify, but he's finding it very difficult to say the least.  Does anyone out there know of a doctor who will consider him as a patient at or near his current weight?

Dr Gibbs in Arkansas. He might. I went to his education meeting on the 28th of Sept, and they said they have done lap. RNY on someone who was 500 pounds. Am using him for my surgeon. He is easy to talk to and so is his staff.
