It's Friday!  Woohoo! My sister comes home from Arizona tomorrow afternoon.  I have enjoyed very much having the house to myself.  It has been an experience having the dogs sleep in my bed instead of hers, though.  The doxie is particularly adroit at claiming 9/10 of the bed for himself, leaving me and the shih-tzu fighting over the other 1/10!  I did not get an interview for the job at the Boulder County Health Department. The letter giving me the finger arrived in yesterday's mail.  I figure it's because they either already had a candidate in mind (very common in public health gigs) or I had too much experience for the position (and made too much money in the past).  I feel a bit discouraged, but heck, it's the first job I applied for, so I can't give up yet. I am nowhere near finished with the project I'm doing for my niece.  It involves categorizing and capturing links on a web site, and every time I click on a link, I end up in another circle of Dante's Hell!    While I'd love to go on a drive or do something utterly adventurous due to the outstanding weather today, duty calls, so I will only be moving selected body parts today at the computer.    I hope to take the dogs for a walk later. What did you do to move your body today? Kix

I have never been more ready for a Friday than today. Driving in to work today I could barely keep my eyes open - I knew then today would be a rough day. I got my whiny ass out of bed this morning, so frustrated with how I did eating wise yesterday, and did a nice, long, endurance workout. I did 20 minutes on the elliptical, 20 minutes on the treadmill and 20 minutes on the stairmaster. There was only one other person there today, so it was strangely quiet except for the sound of the elliptical squeaking during each rotation. At least I had my mp3 player, it kept me moving. I'm heading to Colorado Springs tonight, where my mom and I will finish up some of the details with dad. Then we are going to play tomorrow, go to the mountains to see the aspens and gamble a little. I thought it would be good for us to do something fun. Sunday I plan on spending the day with a good friend of mine - he was the one who just lost his mother a couple of months ago. We had lost touch for many years and connected again at his mom's funeral. He's been a huge help and so supportive, but we also have a great time together, so I am looking forward to the day. So, no formal exercise this weekend, just lots of fun stuff

10 minute walk to warm up and then 30 minutes on the recumbent bike.   Yay me!  Bummer on the job thing Kix.  As for pets in the bed, we kick them out every night.  And then if they scratch at the door, we lock them in a room farther away (they usually remember for a few months after what scratching gets them).   I don't share the bed.   Actually, if my husband would move to the couch it would be perfect.  I move around a lot in my sleep so I sleep very badly when I am wondering if I am about to crush the 11lb cat who thinks she deserves more space than the 400lb human.  We saw Ratatouille last night (I've only been trying to get someone to go with me for months... I heard it was one of the better pixars).  I REALLY liked it.  I think we will see another movie this weekend, The Darjeeling Limited if its out.  I also have to work a lot at the computer, I've got a deadline to meet with a project (Monday) that I haven't really even started.  Slacker. I hope everyone has a nice weekend!  I think I am un-stalled finally, woohoo!  So that already made my weekend.
