I'm having, always have had, a hard time finding knee hi stockings or trouser socks, or any kind of sock, to fit my big feet, but larger legs.  I've always had this issue prior to surgery, so I never wore socks, just knee hi's - which were so tight, and never stayed up, and always rolled down to my ankles.  Great for circulation!  Towards the end, I started cutting off the elastic cuffs, and just using the stockings, and I wore sweatpants all the time, that had an elastic cuff, so it kept the knee hi's up.  Well, now that I"m wearing slacks and such, I need help finding stockings made for my big legs.  I wear knee hi's on occasion, and the elastic is tight but it keeps them from falling down.  I've managed to get away without wearing anything on my feet all summer, but now that fall/winter are coming, I'm not going to be able to get away with it, plus I dont like my feet to stick inside my shoes.  In the summer, I've been wearing canvas lined shoes, which is great, my feet don't stick! So I'm reaching out to my over 50 BMI friends and hoping someone may have some solutions to offer me.  My feet are big and wide, 12ww, so finding socks/dressy socks/trouser socks, are hard in my size, if they fit the feet, they don't go that high on my legs, because they are so swollen.  My dr. told me I had a touch of lymphedema in them.  so usually everything gets stuck in the crease between my ankle and leg.  Lovely.   Would you appreciate anything you have to offer!!!

Hi Michelle, Just my size catalogs have some socks called "Worlds Softests Socks" and I'm telling you they are!  They are nice and stretchy too.  I wear size 11 shoe and these are for up to 12 or 13 I believe.  You could probably do a google search and find other suppliers of them.  My problem here is my husband and 21 year old son have taken most of my white  and black ones!  So I guess I'll be ordering more.  They are a bit pricey but well worth it.  They are so soft with your athletic shoes during workouts. Whatr exactly is lymphedema?  My left leg has always swelled more than my right and has fat/fluid pockets around the knees and inner calf.  Would that be like that? Lorri

You may want to look at Zappos.com - you search for socks by size and I'd recommend looking for diabetic socks because of the swelling - they are a lot less binding.  If you just search "socks" you can see all their categories, including diabetic.  Good luck!

Michelle, I have the same problems and I get my socks on eBay under diabetic socks, or you might want to goggle bariatric socks, thats where I got my slipper socks.  Good luck. Kim
