Hi guys, I'm going to have to resign my position as "gym is open" poster.  As you can tell, I'm having a very difficult time keeping up with it.  My schedule for being able to be online for personal stuff has become very limited.  You are all doing so well and I know many of you enjoy posting, I hope that one of you will want to take on the task.  I remain so inspired by all of you! Today, I walked outside for 45 mins.  I still feel a bit loopy from my anesthesia from yesterday, so I took it kind of easy. What did you do to move your body today? Lori

Well, I still have free time, so I can open the gym unless someone else wants the job.  I didn't exercise yesterday, but I did today.  I decided to change up my routine and try intervals on the in-line machine (5 minutes slow, 1.5 minutes really fast) and I was sweating when my 30 minutes were up.  Whew! I also did 30 minutes of weights (arms 10 reps @ 50 lbs, abs 30 reps @ 70 lbs). We are going to aquacise later tonight, so add in 45 more minutes of activity. Kix

I went shopping at a few stores, parked as far as possible to walk more.  After about two hours shopping I went to the park to walk - did two laps, so that's 2/3 mile on top of the earlier walking.  I think that's the most activity I've managed in one stretch since I got back from the hospital.  Thanks for taking over the gym Kix!  I do like reading what other people do, it inspires me to think I might someday be able to manage that much exercise.

Hi, Lori!  Thanks for your time and effort in keeping this gym open for so long; I think it's appropriate to pass the torch along to another runner now.  I hope your schedule eases up soon so you can continue to focus on keeping yourself healthy!   As far as my exercise for the day, I'll be heading to the gym after work for 40-50 minutes of cardio.  My right knee has been bothering me again, so I also plan to do the leg and hip exercises I got from my physical therapist.  I'm hopeful that if I work those exercises back in to my routine that my knee will feel better... You will Kellie!  The other day you posted that you felt weird about posting since you feel like you do so little compared to us atheletes...please know we all started out with little if any abilities.  I was walking with a cane and couldn't walk around the block.  Now that I can walk 5 miles feels like a miracle, yet, one, that I've put a whole lot of work and time into!  You are doing great! Hi Lori, I've been here about 9-10 months now, and have really been blessed by the gym posts.  I love being able to come here each day and post my activity and be accountable.  I am very thankful for the time and dedication that you have put into this forum on a daily basis.  Your responses back have been incredibly inspiring and helpful.  You and this group as a whole have kept me on track for exercise and eating accountablity. So, let me just simply say Thanks Lori for all your effort.  If Kix needs a hand with the gym, I'm more than happy to help. Today, I did 1 hour of water aerobics, and I'm not able to attend the class tonight.   Thanks again for inspiring each of us to move each day! Blessings,
Jennie
