Morning, Marge. I'm happy that you're getting that last drain our this week - what a relief that will be. Here's my numbers for the week:
Beginning weight - 396
Surgery weight - 386
Last week - 201.4
Today - 202.9
I've been hanging out in the 199-202 range for the past couple weeks now. I'm not sure if I'm heading for maintenance mode, or if my body is just taking another long pause. Only time will tell. In the meanwhile, I'll keep doing what I'm doing!

162! Holy cow!
My niece and her husband were in town for a long weekend, visiting from California. We ate out nearly every meal, which wasn't a problem for me. I was able to make WLS-friendly choices at each restaurant. It's funny how waiters/waitresses react when you tell them you don't want anything to drink with your meal. I have finally figured out what to say to make them quit trying to force feed me liquids during my meal. I say, "I don't drink water with my meal due to medical reasons."
Anyway, all that restaurant food made me feel extremely fat, so I expected a gain this week. I didn't lose, but I'm not complaining at all since I didn't gain, either.
I plan to take it easy with food this week since I feel quite stuffed. I might even consider doing the pouch test again simply because I don't feel like eating.
I've also been reading about interval training, and may begin doing that to see if I can shock my body with some different exercise. Not today, though.
Beginning weight: 530 lbs

Go Marge!
I am really going to have to buy a new scale because if I go from the doc's readings to my scale I gained these past two weeks! So I am not really sure how much I weigh, but I think its about 365 if I subtract the difference between what my scale read and the docs scale read last time I went. Anyway, I am working very hard to get MORE food in because my nutritionist told me to. Now that I am eating a little more I am feeling more energy and less nauseaus. Its still a struggle to get 60g protein - almost there though, I got all the way to 50 yesterday! And 800 cal/day, yeah right. Not even close! I read these posts from fresh postops who are getting 100g protein and 100oz water in each day and I just can't contemplate how they are doing it??

Well I bought a new scale and I did gain weight!!?? Up 4 lbs from two weeks ago. I am at 374.
I hope I am retaining water or poo or something because there really isn't any other explanation. *sigh*

Morning Marge,
Congrats on your 3lb loss, and for being able to get out and be more active. Hopefully, you'll be able to jump and shout when the drain comes out!
Here are my numbers for the week:
Surgery Referral Weight 368 Feb. 8, 2006

Consult Weight: 351 December 7, 2006
Surgery Weight - 344 Jan. 31, 07

120lbs since my surgery 7 1/2 months ago, and a total of 151lbs since June 2006!
I've slowed down this month in my weight loss after a really large loss for August. I think that my body is just recovering a bit from the big loss. It's hard not to get into the mindset that "I'm stuck" or "I'm done losing", when we are still doing all that we can do. I have to learn to be more patient when things are slow!
