I felt the need for a nice cool brisk walk outdoors this morning.  I walked for 1 hour.  I forgot to turn on my pedometer so I don't know how far I went!  I think it was about 3.5 miles. What did you do to move your body today? Lori

Sophia, It is so funny that walking bothers your knee when the eliptical bothers mine! Lori

I have heard so many people say the elliptical bothers there knee. Its so strange how we are all so different.

Hi, Lori.  I had grand plans for lifting weights at lunch, then doing cardio after work.  But I currently have a migraine, so may not make it to the gym today.  If the headache backs off, I might go for a light cardio workout since I didn't get to go yesterday because of work-related meetings.  I hate it when I can't manage to juggle both work and my exercise routine Kellie

Good afternoon, I taught 1 hour of hard water aerobics this morning -- and the attendees said they really enjoyed the workout.  That made me feel great!  I will head back to the pool in an hour to teach 3 hours of swim lessons, so I will swim, or run in the pool, or tread water for at least 2 /12 of those 3 hours, and if I have any energy left, I will stay for the late water aerobics class.  We will see on that one! Thanks for always keeping the gym open and having a place for us to be accountable for our exercise.  One gal from water aerobics asked me about my RnY this morning.  I didn't know that she knew I had it done, but the director of the program had told her.  My boss had asked me if she could share that with people who asked about my weight loss and if they could talk to me about it for encouragement.  I began to talk to this lady and she shared with me that she had wls 18 years ago, and it was the best thing she had done.  She is still quite trim - she did say that she gained 20lbs back from her low, and I would guess that she is about 160lbs now.  She wanted to encourage me to keep exercising and telling others about the benefits of surgery and exercise together.  It was really neat. Oh and one more great thing today -- my scale has been "stuck" for the past almost 2 weeks and today, I finally went down 1lb!  YAY!  I haven't plateaued for that long, and it was a bit discouraging, but I'm glad that it moved today! Hope each of you have a blessed day!
