No more seatbelt extender!

I thought I'd try the car sans seatbelt extender today, and to my surprise I could buckle the darned thing.  Even more of a surprise my hips weren't hanging over where you snap the belt in.  That used to make it really hard to buckle because I had to get around all that fat.  I was very excited and so was my husband. I also wore a size 26 shirt out today (started at a 32 or 34ish).  Its been a pretty good day. 

Isn't it great. I also like not worrying about fitting in a chair, or coming home with black and blue bruises from forcing myself in one. I can actually put my arms on the arms of a chair something I never knew because my stomache was so big I could not find the arms on a chair !!!! Love to be able to put the seat belt on too. You are so early out to notice this big WOW moment be ready there are lots of them and boy do they feel GOOD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pam

I am so happy for your wow moments.  I am so glad that you brought this up as I never thought about removing mine.  I live in Philly and don't use my seat belt driving around the city.  I only use it when I am on the highway or over in NJ (sorry NJ drivers you are brutal).  I know I need to wear it all the time and I am trying to get in the habit.  I think I will try and remove the extender tomorrow.  I haven't noticed the driving part because I have really long legs and always drive from the back seat but I don't sqeeze behind the wheel.

wow, congrats.  I can't wait to get rid of mine.  My stupid pride was so bad that I didn't even get the darn thing till I got a seatbelt ticket.  I know it was unsafe but I was very stubborn about it. I can't wait to get rid of the damn thing.   

I wasn't much better - when we bought a new car I insisted we buy another Ford even though neither of us wanted it, but I already had a Ford seatbelt extender and I didn't want to have to get another from a different company.  I made my husband get the Ford one for me, I was too embarrassed to ask.
