I'm back to my old self today...did make it to work in the afternoon yesterday, but, never to the gym.  Today, I'm going on a 2 mile hike with one of my "dates" from the dating service.  I haven't done this hike in 20 years, but I don't remember it as being too challenging. What will/did you do to move your body this weekend? Lori

Hi Lori, We did make it to the pool this morning.  I wanted to sleep, but John forced me out of bed.  It was good to work out. We are headed to my brother's house for a family dinner today.  He lives in Big Bear, so the weather will be cool. Enjoy your hike!

I went to the rec center early this morning and arrived five minutes before they opened.  Folks were lined up to get in as if it was some sort of closeout sale.  I was the second one in the door, and didn't move quickly enough, because a guy ahead of me beat me to the in-line skating machine. I joked with him about it, telling him during my treadmill walking that had I known he was heading for the in-line machine, I'd have tripped him en route.  We had a nice chat, he told me all about the science of how the in-line machine improves the knee and leg muscles, and which levels are more beneficial.  I had no idea it was so scientific, I like it because it's fun.  He's from San Francisco, and he and his wife like to climb 14ers.  While we were talking about the Bay Area, the fellow on my left mentioned he lived in Marin for 20 years prior to moving to CO.  Felt like old home week. Nice dude hopped off the in-line machine after 20 minutes so I could use it, but after doing 20 minutes of treadmill walking, I was kind of tired.  I ended up doing about 15 minutes, then I hopped off.  He came over and said, "Done already?!  That was quick!"  He hopped back on.  I did weight machines on the torso and leg areas for 10 minutes, then I tried 5 minutes on the cross trainer.  The cross trainer was kind of fun, I'll try it again. So, it was kind of a potpourri of exercise today. If we do anything tomorrow, it will be swimming.  Otherwise, I may just take the day off. Kix

I've been walking quite a bit (20 min 2-3x per day), but I got sick to my stomach walking today - hope I just got too hot and that nothing else is wrong!
