I made it!
My door is always open and I would LOVE to have you out here - how fun would that be, a group of WLS patients hiking a 14'er! And if you want some company on the rafting trip, I am there. I love to raft, I grew up going on week long trips with my dad. I remember hating it at the time but now I look back and have good memories.
Wow that is great... If you can climb the mountain you can do anything... hugs... I want to climb a mountain. I really do.... maybe when I go to arkansas to see my brother I can....Illinois is nothing but cornfields....

That is so wonderful... being a mountain girl at heart from West Virginia... I appreciate exactly what you are talking about... I have not been able to enjoy the mountains like that since I was a child and even then I was overweight... Your pictures were beautiful... I understand the crying, I did the same thing when I had my AH-HA moment after I left Wal-mart Saturday, I walked from one side of a Wal-mart supercenter to the other end, did not even realize that I made it through without pain. After I got in my car, I cried, not out of sadness, but for greatfulness...
Who knows maybe next summer I can post pictures from the mountains of West Virginia...
Enjoy your moments... they are trully wonderful

Thanks everyone for the comments - I have been so excited about actually making it that I have been sharing it with everyone! But everyone here is so very special to me that you were all the first I shared with. I knew you all would be able to understand like no one else.
What a difference a year makes!
