Gym Is Open (3 day weekend)

Hey guys, I'm back from Boston.  Hope you all had a nice week.  I did. I got in tons of exercise in Boston.  I made it to the gym 3 out of the 5 days I was there, plus I walked and walked and walked.  I averaged 7 miles a day with my gym time and all the other walking I did.  I'm kinda dragging butt today now that I'm home.  But, plan on going to the gym right after the NPR radio show, "Wait, Wait, Don't Tell Me" is over in an hour. Then I'm off to Octoberfest at Snowbird Ski Resort today.  Should be fun! What did you do to move your body this weekend? Lori

Hi Lori, I went to water aerobics with my husband, son and youngest daughter.  We had a great time in the pool.  I came home and SLEPT for several hours cause I've been lacking in the sleep department.  Plus, it just feels lazy here since it is 109 today and too hot to do anything.

Jennie, Good for you!  We are having some kind of outbreak of a serious bacteria in all our pools here.  No one under 5 years old is allowed to go in the pools.  Everyone else is avoiding the pools out of fear.  I don't know what to do.  I haven't been there myself since the outbreak.  Hope it stays away from your area.  It is weird to drive by a large pool on a day over 100 degrees and see like 12 people there. Lori P.S.  I hiked 1/2 down an 11,000 foot peak at Snowbird Ski Resort...calves are killing me, but, it was so beautiful.

Hi, Lori and welcome back.  Kudos to you for getting in so my exercise while you were away!  Great job on sticking to your routine.   I did not hit the gym this weekend, but I must have gone up and down my stairs about 60 times; carrying laundry, organizing, putting things away, etc.  Will hit the gym at lunch and after work several times this week though...   How was the Octoberfest???
