The Right Time to have Surgery
I've never heard this before, but suspect that it may be true. I believe that at certain points in our cycle our iron counts are lower because of the bleeding. But unless your iron is too low, I don't think this would be a significant issue. If you're comfortable with one of the nurses in your surgeon's office, I'd suggest asking her. Otherwise, I'd just take whatever surgery date they give you!

Since I was on birth control, I timed my surgery to be right after my period, that way I was less likely to have one in the hospital. One less hassle.
