Oopsie, I almost forgot to post this..... I didn't go into the office today so no gym for me..... sigh... bad bad bad.... maybe I can talk the DH into going for a walk with me when he gets home from work, the little puppy dog would probably like that too.... I know, I know, I could take him for a walk now and when hubby gets home too..... hmmmm..... maybe for a lunch break since I'm trying to do a liquids only day, that would get me out of the house and away from temptations... lol What did you do to move-to-lose today??

I went to the rec center today and did one hour of in-line skating machine (changing up the levels between 1, 2, and 3), and did about 30 minutes of strength training with the weight machines.  We are going to aquacise later tonight. Some sow at the rec center came up to me and rudely asked how long I was going to be on the in-line skating machine, because she was waiting to use it.  I said, "About 15 more minutes."  She replied, "You are aware that when someone is waiting to use a machine, the limit is 20 minutes."  I said, "Yes, and 15 minutes is less than 20 minutes, so now that I know you're waiting, I'll be done in 15 minutes."  She walked away and used the recumbent bike.  The dude next to me on the treadmill said, "How were you supposed to know she was waiting to use it?"   It wasn't so much what she said, it was her *****y tone that bent me the wrong way.      Kix

Sounds like you handle the situation appropriately.  Our gym has similar rules about limiting time on cardio equipment to 30 minutes when people are waiting.  But it also has a sign-up board so people using the machines know when someone is waiting.  Otherwise, how the heck am I supposed to know you are waiting?  I'm not a mind reader!  Plus, there's usually enough cardio equipment that everyone can get a machine, even if it's not their first choice.  So I say quit complaining, pick a different piece of equipment, and get moving.  You can have mine when I'm done.  And not before.  Hmph.   Kellie

I'm going to the gym after work for a 40-50 minutes of cardio.  I worked in my upper cardio zone yesterday, so today I should work in my base zone (123-133 BPM); those workouts are much easier than the ones in my upper zone.  Luckily, base work is still necessary to maintain good overall cardiovascular fitness.  Works for me!   Good luck to everyone finding the time and motivation to move today! Ok let me see if I can get it all out. First off has anyone notice that the more weight you lose the less sleep you need? Well I have been up since 2 am and I have school to night. I did manage to get to the gym at 4:20am and did a full 75 min today. I better get off of her before I fall asleep.  Lorraine

Lorraine, I still need at least six hours of sleep each night, but I do find that I don't get tired during the day now that I'm more active. If I woke up at 2 AM, went to the gym at 4:20 AM, and then had to go to work, my boss would find me in this condition by 9 AM   .  I salute you! Kix

It was very hard to get through the day but I did. I figured i would get to bed early that didn't happen.  i did get some rest and over slept this morning so I only worked out for 50 min instead of my normal time of 75 to 85 min.

Yesterday, I did 1 hour of water aerobics in the morning, 1 1/2 hour of teaching swim lessons, and 1 hour of water aerobics in the evening. My weight loss has been the greatest this month since the first month post surgery.  I think it is because of the extra exercise.  I am eating a bit more, but with stepping up the exercise, I think I need a bit more.
