Just wanted to say hello... have been away for awhile
Hi Everyone,
I know I don't know a lot of you on the board anymore, but I have continued reading your posts when I can. I just wanted to say hi to all of my old friends and those of you I haven't met yet. I am doing well. I got married on July 7th to the most wonderful guy in the world, and we are expecting a baby (my first) in mid-January. None of this would have been possible without WLS; I know that for a fact. I was so happy to find out I was pregnant. We had decided to start trying before the wedding thinking that it would take awhile due to being on birth control for so long; well... it didn't take that long at all - lol - first month out, and I was pregnant. Anyway, it's been great, but the bad part is accepting the fact of gaining weight - even if it is for a good reason. I just keep telling myself it doesn't matter because I will work hard to lose it afterward, but it gets a little depressing at times. No one around me seems to really understand my dilemma because they haven't been where I have been. Oh well... I wouldn't trade this for the world. We should get to find out the gender in about 3 weeks; ultrasound is scheduled for August 27th. We are both very excited! It really doesn't matter if it's a boy or a girl; I just want to know so I can be better prepared (and buy lots of cute clothes!!). Anyway, that's about it for now. Thanks to all who have been supportive of me over the years, and I look forward to getting to know everyone better.
Take Care,
Tanja
