My surgery is 8 days away

August 13th is over 8 days away and new start in life.Has anyone had to do the atkins diet before surgery and how well you do with it.

Congrats on your upcoming surgery date; the next 8 days will fly by!  I've did the Atkins' diet before WLS, but not necessarily in preparation for the surgery.  I had good luck with it as long as I followed the plan.  Once I got past the carb cravings and "detoxed" myself from the processed carbs that I'd been eating, I really felt pretty good.   Good luck on your continuing journey! I did atkins for years, I didn't lose much weight but never felt better while doing it. Cutting out all the sugar and carbs is great preparation for your new life after surgery. Good luck... and get ready for a wild ride/ Lynn
