It is a rainy day here in Utah.  Not hard, but, still rainy and much cooler...thank goodness for the break from the searing heat we have been enduring.  Felt good at the gym as it is one of those all glass gyms and when it is hot, it can't really stay that cool in there. 45 min track, 20 min lower body strength training, 10 min stretching. What did you do to move your body today? Lori

Hi, Lori.  It was rainy here in Cleveland this afternoon - pretty hard in some place (3 inches in an hour or so, complete with flash flood warnings).  I haven't been out, but talked to someone and they said the rain had helped cool things down.  Guess I won't need to water my lawn tonight... As far as moving my body, I'll head to the gym after work for 50-60 minutes of cardio, probably a mix of elliptical, bike, and stairmaster.  I've given my sore knee a couple days off from the more intense cardio, so I'm hoping to have a good workout today.   Have a great evening! Colorado is one of those weird states -- part mountains, part plains.  We get the afternoon thunder (and sometimes a light rain) just like the Midwest.  I think we are expecting a real storm today, but it's hard to tell.  It looks ominous outside, but then, it does most afternoons around here!  I went to one rec center and did 30 minutes of cardio, then hightailed it over to the other rec center and did a 40 minute aqua arthritis class (I didn't like the substitute instructor today, she was disorganized).  Open swim commenced when the class was over, and all the people left, so I had the pool to myself for 20 glorious minutes.  I swam back and forth, mostly kicking so I could work my knees.  Around noon, other folks started showing up, and what they call "acitivity" makes me laugh.  All of them were standing in the water and yakking -- I suppose their tonsils were getting an aerobic workout, but that's about it.  Anyway, that was 30 minutes of cardio, 60 minutes of aqua exercise/swimming, and a peek inside the sauna (shout out to Diana).  I could do my cardio at the rec center where the warm water pool is located, but I don't like their cardio room as much as the rec center I always use. Kix, You make me laugh!  I always wonder about folks that come to the pool or the gym to just chat.  It is like they think that if they just show up that is enough! Swimming is great! Lori

Hi Lori, It rained hard here today. My street was flooded all the way past the side walk. I didn't let it stop me from going to the gym. I sat in the sauna for 15 minutes. I did 30 minutes on the treadmill and 10 on the elliptical trainer. I did 100 crunches and 2 leg machines. I got back in the sauna for 10 more minutes. (((hugs))) Diana
