I'm Back!
I'm back in town, and I was glad to get back in time to keep my appointment with the dermatologist this morning. Since I've been getting more sun, two brown spots popped up on my face -- one on my nose, and one on my cheek. I figured I'd better get them checked out.
Turns out they are freckles! Freckles?! At age 49.75? However, he didn't like the looks of the itchy mole on my shoulder, so he lopped some of it off for a biopsy. He doesn't think it's melanoma, but it might be a basal cell carcinoma. I'm not worried.
Our trip was uneventful, and in my opinion, much ado about nothing. My family member's condition is stable, so I'm not sure why we were summoned as though something bad was imminent. When I saw him, I knew he was fine, and felt annoyed that we had to make a 15 hr drive when it wasn't urgent.. My sibling here was also annoyed and we agreed that our other sibling had better stop crying WOLF or no one will respond when it really becomes necessary.
Missed you all,
Kix
Welcome back, my newly-freckled friend! I've always had freckles - sometimes more, sometimes less depending on how much sun I get! I'm sure the mole will be nothing - I've had several removed and they've all been fine.
I'm glad your trip was uneventful, but sorry the trip turned out to be unnecessary. I hope your other sibling gets a better understanding of what "imminent" means...
Enjoy being at home -
