Gym Is Open (thursday)

I went to the gym and did 35 mins on the treadmill after walking for 20 mins on the track talking with my friends.  Then ran out of time, so stretched and left. What did you do to move your body today? Lori

I had a crappy workout today, Lori.  I felt overtired and the gym seemed extra warm to me today.  Not sure if I didn't allow enough recovery time after yesterday's workouts (weights at lunch, cardio after work), or if I'm just tired because I'm having my period.  Regardless of the cause, I did 35 minutes on the elliptical trainer, then called it quits.  I was as hot and sweaty as if I had been working out for an hour!   Hopefully tomorrow will be better - I'm planning to work out at the end of the day, so should hopefully have plenty of recovery time to replenish energy stores.   Thanks for keeping the gym open -  Kellie

I did 40 minutes on the in-line skating machine and about 15 minutes of work on the leg and knee machines.  Oh, and also the stomach cruncher machine. Kix

Hi Lori, I did 40 minutes on the treadmill, 100 crunches and sat in the sauna for 25 minutes ( 2 different times once for 15 and 10 the second time)

Hi Diana! Looks like you are back on track with your routine.  I certainly can't take as much sauna time as you do, but, I wish I could as it is so good to get those impurities out of your system! Any good movies lately? Lori

Diana, My recent at the theatre movies were "1408", good, but, not really scary.  "Ratatouille", I loved it, but, most of the kids in the theatres didn't laugh much.  "Sicko" very upsetting, but, well done documentary about the state of health care. Lori

Today is weights day, so I did 20 minutes of warm up on the treadmill then about 30 minutes of lower and upper weights. I'm starting to see a difference in my legs - they are much stronger and muscular. Tomorrow I am heading back up to where I hiked last week, but didn't finish the trail. It's a nine-mile trail, so i think I'll be pretty tired. I plan on getting there really early to miss the afternoon storms - can't wait to say I made it all the way! I'm becoming such a hiking freak
