Here's a link to a good article from msnbc.com about avoiding fitness failure (although I prefer to think of this as 7 tips for fitness success!).  Anyway, I've included a list of the 7 "secrets"; check out the full article for more details.  http://fitlist.msnbc.msn.com/archive/2007/07/24/288204.aspx

1. Smart, consistent scheduling.

2. Proper pacing and progression.

.

3. Shorter workouts when necessary.

4. Well-timed workout "vacations".

.

5. New adventure workouts.

.

6. Strength AND flexibility training.

.

7. Workout buddies.

Haha you are a glass full kind of person eh?  I am more of the avoiding failure persuasion.  But the class is neither half full nor half empty - its twice as big as it needs to be.  Thanks for the tips!

Oh, yeah, I'm definitely an optimist.  One of my mantras is "They will pry my rose-colored glasses from my cold, dead hands."  Not to say that I'm not also a realist, but I do try to look at things in a positive light.  That has served me well for many years, and I hope it continues to do so for many years to come!   Anyway, hope you find the tips helpful - good luck on your continuing journey! Hi, Lori.  I'm glad you found this helpful.  I already use some of these tips, but will keep this around when for the times when I'm struggling to stay on track.   Kellie
