I do believe Lori had her colonoscopy today, and I was remiss in not opening the gym earlier.  I apologize! I went to the rec center and did 40 minutes on the in-line skating machine, and then about 30 minutes on the strength training machines (20 reps each @ 30 lbs).  I was really "in the zone" on the in-line machine today and put some extra body English into my exercise, and I sure felt it later in the day when I had to stand in line at my HMO pharmacy for 20 minutes.  To say I had a hitch in my get-along is an understatement.  I think I'm about ready to try and get back into the pool.  I tried on my old bathing suit and it hangs like a dishrag.  Lucky for me, some friends handed down bathing suits (ugly ones, but they fit), so I'll have something to wear in the pool.  I may just try water walking for now, or I might just go all out and try a lap or two without my oxygen and see what happens.  I promise I won't drown. Hi, Kix!  Thanks for opening the gym - better late then never I say.  You go with the 40 minutes on the in-line skating machine!!!  I hope the hitch in your get-along is feeling a little better today Good luck with the pool activities!  I didn't get into a pool until I was down about 140 pounds; I was amazed because I actually had to work to stay afloat!  In the old days, my fat kept me afloat regardless of what I did.  I like water aerobics and sign up for classes when I'm getting bored with my regular routine at the gym; variety is the spice of life... On Monday, I did 50 minutes on the elliptical trainer at lunch.  Wanted to lift weights after work, but had a conference call that went too long and I missed my opportunity.  Will have to look at my schedule and see when I can work an extra weight lifting session in to the mix.   Kellie

I did my yoga tape yesterday.  It felt really good to stretch out my back, I've had twinges of sciatica lately and just been generally unhappy down that left leg.  Walking a lot helps so I walked today.

I think I have finally conquered my old "I'm bored with my workout." I started to do interval training and it definitely has caught my interest - I am so concentrating on the whole system that an hour goes by just like that. Of course, I am cursing a certain trainer in the process, but I think that's a good thing So, yesterday I did 20 on the treadmill, 20 on the elliptical and 20 back on the treadmill. I was wiped out, but in a good way. I'm hoping this works to get me ready for that mountain!
