Thanks Kix,  I picked up the book Sat and finished it today.  It was very good, I think the best, although plot arcs definitely abound.  I did spot a hole or two though.  Oh well.   The movies are never even remotely close to being comparable to the books though.  All the best,  Jenn

I tried to squeeze in a walk between rainstorms but only got about 10 minutes into it when the sky opened up.  I got back to my car as fast as possible but I was soaked.  Of course once I was in the car the rain basically stopped, down to at least a very light drizzle.  I didn't go back out. We saw Harry Potter tonight, it was ok.  Long.  And of course they left a ton of stuff out.  But I liked it - husband squirmed the whole time and was sooo ready to go when it was over.  The last book comes out at midnight - I am not enough of a fan to pick it up today but I will probably buy it tomorrow.   Best Wishes to all!  16 days to surgery (freaked out)  Jenn

Dunny, after living in Washington state for two years, I don't even pay attention to the rain anymore.  I have an umbrella, but I never use it.  Getting soaked isn't fun, though. I saw Harry Potter (I'm like your husband, I'm not a fan) because my sibling dragged me to it.  I did enjoy some of the special effects, but it was hard for me to follow some of the plot arcs because I don't know the characters or the history.  However, Alan Rickman is in it, and as far as I'm concerned, he could read me the fine print on the back of an airline ticket and he'd have my full attention!   My sibling received her copy of the new book in today's mail, and is now sequestered in her room reading it.  I don't think she planned to read it today, she had a snit about something and went off to pout, and I noticed she took her book with her.  No need to freak out over your upcoming surgery -- you will do fine! Kix
