Gym is Open (Sunday)!
No rec center today. We decided to take a drive up to Fort Collins and look at a test garden of flowers sponsored by Colorado State University. The flowers are all different varieties and are grown in a lovely park in the center of town. We walked around and admired all the flowers, and I only had to sit once to rest.
The best part of the day was stopping to buy lotto scratcher tickets. When I got home, I scratched mine and discovered I'd won $1000 on one ticket, $14 on one ticket, and $30 on the other one!
I tried to talk my sister into taking a quick trip to the casino, but she's tired after our long adventure.
What did you do to move your body today?

So, you gonna take me out to dinner?
I'm a cheap date. I NEVER win anything, ever. Maybe I need to hang around you and see if you will rub off on me.
I had a great workout today - I did 27 minutes on the elliptical, 15 minutes on the bike and 20 minutes on the treadmill. I was drenched at the end of it but it certainly felt good. I had my friends funeral on Friday and was feeling a bit tired so this is just what the dr. ordered.
The funeral was beautiful and such a great tribute to a wonderful lady. I saw so many old friends from my college days that I ended up staying for over 3 hours at the reception, just talking to everyone. None of them had seen me for years so there was a lot of shocked people and compliments when they saw me! And, I just may of reconnected with an old boyfriend - it was interesting seeing his reaction to me. We'll just have to wait and see

Holy moly! I gave up on scratch tickets pretty quick because I am not lucky. Shopping spree?
I wish! This came along at a great time, because I just happened to owe my sister some money. I pay her a nominal rent for room and board (mostly because I don't believe in mooching, not because she demands it), and I had a couple of unexpected expenses pop up recently, so she let me slide on the rent the past two months. I can now pay her back, pay the car insurance and license fees, and still have breathing room in the checking account. Hooray!
