August 6! That gives me another month to lose as much weight as possible too. I am sooooo excited - I started shaking when I found out.
Hm, Dunny, I think you should wait until August 14, which is my one year anniversary. Another week won't be a big deal, will it?
Kidding aside, it's pretty exciting when you get that news, isn't it? I was sort of numb all day when I found out I was finally approved after fighting my HMO for so long.
Congratulations, and these last few weeks will fly by before you know it. Oh, and don't forget to get a bed jacket!

I am feeling a bit numb, can't concentrate, thinking about just going home for the day because I can't get anything done anyway. August 14, honestly I'd actually consider asking for it, for good luck, if classes didn't start on the 22. I am hoping I will feel up to going back to work by the 22, from the 6th. From the 14th though, I don't think that would happen
Thank you so much everyone for all your information and support. I really feel like this is my primary support group because I don't get to go to support group meetings very often. Its nice to talk to people who've been where I am and to see where I might be in the future.
Thanks Thanks Thanks!

Good for you - congrats, congrats, congrats! I was actually terrified when I got my date; I'd never been in the hospital before or had any kind of surgery, so we really worried about that. Getting a date made the risks suddenly seem very overwhelming and very real. So good for you that you are excited, excited, excited! You'll find great support in this forum - as you already know, everyone here is super supportive and encouraging. We look forward to continuing forward with you on your journey to a new you
