Made it thru surgery!

Well, I'm officially on the loser's bench! I had my surgery at the crack of dawn on 7/6. I was in recovery by 9, outta there by 2 p.m. Today I'm sore, but definitely worth it already. Just wanted to say thanks for all the hugs, wishes and prayers that my OH folks sent my way to get me thru surgery. It's so nice to have the acceptance and support . . . it really makes a difference.

CONGRATS!!!!! Wow, you got out of the hospital fast - I had to be in for 4 days (I had an allergic reaction to some medicine, luckily no complications from surgery) and all I kept thinking was I want to go home! If you have any questions be sure to ask us - everyone has been there and can probably dispense some advice. I remember being very emotional my first week, but it became easier as time went on. This place was a lifesaver then!

Congratulations!  Now you are through the surgery, now let your pouch heal by following all instructions to the letter!  It will really help make this easier. Big hugs, Lori

I think you were lap band right?  I'd love to know how you progress because my friend is leaning towards lap band - my surgeon wouldn't consider lap band for me because the max amount of weight I'd likely lose wouldn't even take me out of the morbidly obese category.  Best of luck adjusting to everything!
