It was in the mid-90s here today, but for some reason, it didn't feel all that hot to me until I went to the rec center this afternoon. I was sweating more than usual doing my in-line skating machine, so I think their air conditioner isn't all that efficient (the place has lots of windows to let in light, kind of like the United terminal at O'Hare).
My right foot still smarts from being run over by a hit-and-run gramma (armed with a rental stroller) at the zoo yesterday, so I had to quit in-line skating after 25 minutes because my toes were not happy. I did 10 minutes of armbike, and then a bunch of weight machines (20 reps each @ 10 lbs, except for the crunch machine, 10 reps @ 10 lbs).
I notice that Hoppy and Bob, my two floppy upper arms, are starting to reproduce. Hoppy now has a Hoppy, Jr right near the elbow and Bob, Jr is starting to hang to the left of Bob. Before too long, my folds will have folds!
No rec center tomorrow -- we are going to the Cherry Creek Arts Fesitval (they open the doors an hour early tomorrow for folks with "mobility issues," so we ought to be able to get a head start on the thundering herds that attend every year. After the festival, we will go see "Sicko." I'll be curious to see how well I do walking around the festival, as it covers several city blocks.

Kix,
I'm sorry your foot is still bothering you. I hope it is just temporary. It seems like anything I have happen to my feet, even a cat scratch takes a long time to heal. I guess the circulation issues are still present.
Have fun at the Cherry Creek Arts Festival. I will be going to the gym soon, then I have a concert tonight at the Red Butte Gardens. It is a bluegrass concert featuring Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder. I'm not going until 7:30. Should be a bit cooler by then, I hope!

We almost saw Sicko yesterday but changed our minds and decided to wait for Harry Potter this coming week. Three movies in a week is just too much of a luxury on a two-student budget. We do plan to see Sicko though, Michael Moore is always interesting and always controversial. I personally thought Bowling for Columbine was his best so far.
We made it to the "bargain" matinee at the Mayan (artsy theater in downtown Denver) around noon. Not too many people in the audience, maybe that's because it was the first showing for a Sunday and many folks were at the Arts Fesitval. I hope it isn't an indication that the movie isn't doing well.
I highly recommend seeing this movie. Parts of it will make you laugh out loud, parts of it will make you cry, and parts of it will make you hiss (there's a part in the movie with Nixon in it, and just seeing his face makes the hairs on my neck stand up).
I like all of Michael Moore's movies. If I had a true favorite, it would be his first one, "Roger and Me."
I am not a Harry Potter fan, but I have been commandeered by my sibling to accompany her to the movie when it opens. In return, I have bullied her into coming with me to "The Simpsons" movie. I don't mind going to movies alone, but hey, if she's going to make me suffer through HP because she cannot stand to go to a movie by herself, then I figure what's good for the goose, etc.
She hates The Simpsons.

LOL I like Simpsons and Harry Potter, and plan to see both. I also don't mind going to movies by myself. I did a lot as a kid because I'd always ask for movie passes as gifts and then I'd go see art films that no one I knew was willing to see.
I drag my husband to the Harry Potters and in return he drags me to Adam Sandler movies and things like that. Ahh love.
I look forward to seeing Sicko, glad you liked it!
I plan on seeing Sicko this week. All my friends say that this is his best film. I manage the software for the University physicians billing and scheduling system. I know the business quite well. I saw 2 movies this past week, I saw "1408" (good, but, not scary) "Knocked Up" (I loved it. Quite funny.)

103 is wayyyy too hot!! I was all excited for summer this year. I figured that since I've lost an entire person I would enjoy the heat a lot more. NOPE! I still can't stand the heat - I can handle it better but I still hate it! I swear I'm going to move to Alaska every summer and it's no different this year!
My exercise consisted of painting the outside of my parents house for the past 3 days - I can feel muscles I never knew I had. Mom added a few more painting projects to my list, so I have a feeling I will be doing this all summer. I'm really beginning to appreciate my fathers stamina - it's a tough job!
Today I'm going to do my conventional workout at the gym - I got my MP3 player and can't wait to try it out. Plus I want a break!!
