Skipped the gym this morning as my foot (plantars fascitis) is giving me fits today! What did you do to move your body today? Lori

I did 40 min on the recumbent bike before work this morning.  Never gone that long before!

Good for you!  Hey, one thing to make sure of when doing the recumbant bike is that you have the pedals set so that you never fully extend the leg.  It causes achilles heal problems...I've had it all!

Oooh good to know - I'm not sure if I extend my leg all the way, I don't think so, but I'll double check.  Thanks!

Hey there Lori,  I will going to the gym tonight it will be a very long session since I have been eating like there is no tomorrow. Everytime my friend comes (once per month of course) I just want to sit around and eat. Well after I had a donut I said enough is enough so I will be working out for a couple of hours today and everyday this weekend. (I'm wondering why I am not losing weight??) Back away from the kitchen. I will be doing the Platuea buster diet on monday i so want to get under 200 will see if it works.  Lorraine

Lorraine, If only this surgery fixed our brains!!!!  Keep on working on it, that is all we can do!  Let me know how the plateau buster diet goes.  I've wanted to try it, but, haven't yet. Big Hugs, Lori

Hi Lori,  I have planars fascitis too, thou lately I have been what I call in "remission" I can hurt so bad, do you have good inserts? I use HTP heal that pair. I got them online and they work really good. Today I walked at lunch for 15 minutes ( I only take a 30 minute lunch) Tonite I will ride my bike at least 35 minutes, maybe 45 if I am feeling good. Have a great weekend and take care of that foot. Lynn

Lynn, Yes, I have custom made orthotics for my shoes.  I've had it before, but, not this bad for about 15 years.  It is now coming and going.  The orthotics do make the difference.  Can't wear them with sandals though and so even though it is 103 degrees, I'm skipping the sandals for now...but, it is hot! Looks like you are out there doing good stuff for yourself!  Congratulations! Lori

I'm on my pre-op liquids so I can't get as crazy with this as I'd like, but I did 45 minutes of water aerobics and 20 minutes with 3 pound free weights.

Shari, Don't worry about exercising while you are on your pre-op liquid diet.  Just do what you can.  You'll have plenty of time to exercise once you are through this surgery.  Then start easy and take it a day at a time.  Then you get to exercise to your heart's content for the rest of your life!  But, as you lose weight, you will grow to love it more and more.  At least that is how it has gone for me! Big Hugs and remember we are here for you as you go through this process! Lori
