Resize Those Rings!

I just noticed that my favorite gold ring, given to me years ago by my BGBF (best gay boyfriend), who has since passed away, has fallen off my finger!    We were at an art festival in Santa Monica and he bought it for me during one of his (rare) impulsive moods.  I remember it was on my hand yesterday, so it must have fallen off some time today.  I'll have to check at the rec center to see if by chance it fell off there and someone was honest enough to turn it in.  I checked my bedding, and it didn't fall off while I was asleep.  I don't make a habit of removing my rings when I wash my hands, so I doubt it's sitting on a counter here in the house, but I'll check. I am heartsick.  The ring was a bit loose, but I never thought it was loose enough to drop off my finger like that.  A cherished, irreplacable memento, possibly gone forever.  If you have rings you love, and they are a bit loose, be sure to get them resized.  I kept stalling because I was waiting until I lost more weight.  I've taken off the rest of the rings I wear, and tucked them safely away until I get them resized. Hi Kix, I'm so sorry. I hope you find it. I REALLY need to size my wedding ring. I wear it on my pointer finger I guess you would call it. It also has a plastic snuggle thingy from Walmart on it. I wanted to wait till after I had my baby to size it. Now I want to wait till I get this baby weight off of me. ((((hugs)))))

Oh Kix, I'm so sorry.  Any luck finding it? Several people advised me to wait and get my rings sized later to avoid doing it more than once.  I don't take my rings off to swim, and I was constantly thinking that they would fall off in the water.  I got them sized a few weeks after surgery -- my size dropped from 9 1/4 to 7 1/4, and they are still OK size wise.  I wouldn't want to put my rings up for months and not wear them, and the sizing is fairly cheap - $15 per ring.  That's much better than losing them!

Kix, The same thing happened to me but I lost my entire wedding set about a year out from surgery.  I knew they were loose and my husband kept telling me to stop wearing them until they were sized. I cried for days.  My homeowners paid a small amount as I had a $500 deductible.  I am still without my set, I just wear a cheap band. I want a nicer set and I will get it soon.
